i read many of the comments before watchin the video just to see. i figured those yelling about abuse were just the usual whiners on here that sound like they live or want to live in hippie communes. so after finally watchin the video i'd have to say the punishment was not proper. there's no good lesson to be learned by the girls when they're chased by what looks like an out of control adult whipping around what looks like an electrical cord or rope. i only watched it once and i believe the second girl was gettin hit in the face a few times. that whipping instrument will leave scars on faces and other areas of the body that could mentally scare the girls for life. how do they go about life and explain why they have scars on their faces or other exposed parts of their bodies? many muslim men as well as other male dominated cultures love that kind of shit and we've probably all seen pictures and videos of horribly scarred girls in them. they do it for family dignity and shame without any care of whether the punished have any respect towards them or learn a lesson from it. i know it's not exactly the same punishment here, but now these girls may have lost complete respect for the adult. i don't know for sure, but i'm feelin like maybe he was punishing them more for him than to really teach the girls a lesson. any thought of those girls went out the door when he rapped the cord or rope around his hand and then flew into an uncontrolled rage and went for the face. with him bein so cold and totally out of control during the beating, the girls really only learned about pain delivered by an out of control person they love/d, resentment and fear. respect through fear is just not the same respect learned through a more controlled punishment. i'm not sayin they should not have received some form of corporal punishment, but how this adult went about it just ruined much of whatever good relationship he had with the girls. i wish we had a way to keep track of these girls over the next 5-10 years and see how they fare.
