You know, the big Tyson plant is right across the river in Dardanelle. Yummy! Glow in the dark food for all! “If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Being Peace "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you." - Job 12:7,8 "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." - Hunter S. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37254173 bad luck what i was thinking......... Not to mention the sinkhole and the dead birds in Arkansas this week. Dead birds in Conway, sinkhole in NW Arkansas. Conway is very close to Russelville “If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Being Peace "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you." - Job 12:7,8 "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." - Hunter S. Nuclear power plants are a failed way to make energy. Most nuclear power plants today are out dated and need repair. The 1940s generation bought into it as a good idea because they were ignorant of the facts and didn't really care what went on.... |

But first 1 dead 3 injured, and now it´s 8 injured according to an AC here, makes you think what else they might be hiding? why move (parts of) a generator when connected? ............ if you don´t know this site already, here´s a daily overview of reactor status´. both 1+2 are shut down (scroll down to region4) [link to www.nrc.gov] oh, and nice read, i don´t suspect the Rollingstone as a typical fearmongering magazine: [link to www.rollingstone.com] |

Arkansas 1 was already in shut down mode to replace fuel rods when the accident happened. Big "monster" fans for each unit and a back up for each unit, move the fans around for routine maintenance on a huge pulley and BOOM when something breaks or slips. Accidents like this shouldn't happen, the NRC probably made them shut down the other unit until they figure out what went wrong & why. |
