Boycott Google
Google boycotts Easter, I am boycotting Google.

I understand the choice of any company or person to not acknowledge Christian holidays. What I find unacceptable is the choice Google made to acknowledge Cesar Chavez on Easter.

Google was clearly making a statement by doing this. I am making a choice to boycott Google. I hope others join me.

Google has their fingers in so much, they have become just a little too big. What they have done this Easter is make a statement. Let's be a part of answering their communist statement.

Fist step for me is to no longer use Google and I will stop using gmail. I am asking for others that believe as I do to help with a list. For those that don't agree, move along and don't bother to post

The list: Google, Gmail

Already with you.

This was a great unmasking of the anti-Christian stance of google.

I also will not capitalize it again.

No, they are one of many.

Bing is fine. Love the slideshow feature on its Image section.

dogpile is okay too.

gargle has deteriorated in the past half year, in my view. I used to use the maps feature often, but now you have to sign in to use it for more than a quick look.

Seriously ... no one cares, man.

This is a very lame reason for boycotting something. You don't see us that have grafted into the Hebraic faith throwing a fit over people eating swine. You don't hear us screaming about others not observing the Feasts.

You wish me a "Merry Christmas" I don't start crying like a little girl because you forgot Chanukah.

I wish to boycott people that think everyone needs to cater to their flavor of belief or they're somehow wrong.

How about you put that energy into something that matters? Go help an elderly neighbor, show some kindness to a child, take a homeless person into your home for the evening and feed them a warm home cooked meal.

This is just ego driven madness. :(

Dear disaffected Republicans: Welcome to the Libertarian Party, we think you will find our small government economic policies to your liking. However in exchange you will have to find a way to be ok with "the gays" getting married.

Re: Boycott Google
It's far worse than you can imagine.
Thread: Everything YOU do is recorded, indexed and sold. EVERYTHING!

startpage.com is a a start towards sanity.

This from their privacy link:
[link to startpage.com (secure)]

"Your privacy is under attack!

Every time you use a regular search engine, your search data is recorded. Major search engines capture your IP address and use tracking cookies to make a record of your search terms, the time of your visit, and the links you choose - then they store that information in a giant database.

Those searches reveal a shocking amount of personal information about you, such as your interests, family circumstances, political leanings, medical conditions, and more. This information is modern-day gold for marketers, government officials, black-hat hackers and criminals - all of whom would love to get their hands on your private search data.

Why should you worry?

Major search engines have quietly amassed the largest database of personal information on individuals ever collected. Unfortunately, this data can all too easily fall into the wrong hands. Consider the following story:

In August 2006, the online world was jarred when AOL accidentally released three months' worth of aggregated search data from 650,000 of its users, publishing all the details in an online database.
That database is still searchable. It is an absolute eye-opener to see the potential for privacy nightmares."
We all breathe the same air.
