Doc Savage Senior Forum Moderator User ID: 37086917 United States 03/31/2013 07:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "We had snakes and scorpions on the set, and we had a snake man whose job it was to clear the set of snakes," Downey says. "Maybe on any given day, he would clear one or two snakes from any given location. On the morning of the crucifixion, when I got up to the set, he called me aside, and he had a writhing bag on the road
he had pulled 48 snakes from the foot of the cross that morning! It was an exhausting few days for everyone involved, and emotionally draining, but it was very important to us that we got that right." Quoting: Machine42 Obviously something supernatural was going on here. If that's not convincing enough another incidents on the production -- a huge wind suddenly kicked up on an otherwise still night during the filming of a scene in which Jesus tells Nicodemus, "The Holy Spirit is like the wind"; and an irreplaceable part of one of Jesus's costumes floated away during filming but was returned several days later by a young boy who had traveled quite a distance to return it -- added to the feeling, Burnett says, that the cast and crew were working on a very special production. Jesus is Lord!! [link to tv.yahoo.com] Uh, Machine 42 -- you need to go back and edit the title of your thread: "snacks" should be "snakes"... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37102849 Weird things happen on all production sets. You just had a bunch of Christards together looking for meaning where there was none. I understand what your saying, but this is just too weird and cant just be shunned off by saying "it happens on all production sets". Come on get real, this does not happen, period. These things cant be explained as people looking for weird things cause they are significant things you cant just find by looking really hard. Also, these are not just religious people. "People knew. People knew, people who don't necessarily believe," he says. "Remember, these are actors and production people of all faiths but people knew something was happening." |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26614631 Look at the pic in the article. I see a bunch of random rocks everywhere. So just a coincidence they happened to pile up in that one area? |

I think the Lord's presence might have been on this set. The show had the highest rating of any cable program all year. It's won it's timeslot in ratings each night, even over broadcast TV. It's popularity has been a surprise. I saw a report that it is sparking a revival in Christian themed movies in Hollywood, including a movie about Pontious Pilate in the works with Brad Pitt as Pilate. The show has been outstanding. It's like once in a generation that they attempt to put the Bible on film. They did a great job. I bet God liked this one. |

If I choose not to believe, I don't get a free pass to the playground? This is the defintion of duress. Free will is precisely that. The freedom to choose not to believe. This is a fascist ideology peddled by the unscrupulous intent on bending people to their will, invariably for monetary gain. The fact that Hollywood is padding out this fairy tale hardly surprises me. Workers of the World, Unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains! |

BUT it is spreading the gospel to countless millions. It serves a good purpose... It surprises me not that satan would try to mock it... Satan is a bastard. Thanks for sharing! Upon reading i felt... More spiritual and knew that the show had something going good for it :) _______________________ |
