As I'm laying here in bed after struggling for hours trying to get GLP to load and thrilled to finally have it back up I have found myself with a burning question I'm dying to ask you all. What is GLP to you? To some it's a conspiracy based alternative news/media forum. To some it is a diary or journal in which we play out these elaborate roles as characters we fashion in our own minds; giving them the breath of life and adapting them as handles or Tulpas. To others it is a source of healing - a sanctuary or a house of refuge. A place where hearts can heal, minds can rest and one can always find the kind and encouraging words of a stranger. Others still this is a work assignment. There are those who are legitimately shilling and one cannot harp on them for doing so because they are just doing their job. Of course not all are shilling about the place but others use this site as a research or educational tool - though you cannot believe everything you read on here it is still a very good starting point. It is undeniable that there is a great, powerful energy at work here on this wonderful forum we all love so much. Some call it the GLP effect. Many of you, including myself, have made many cherished and memorable friendships with like-minded individuals the world over. Because of the Mods and Admins and those who contribute to keep this site running - it is YOU who are helping countless individuals wake up and find something that gives them something to believe in and something to hope for. There are Brothers and Sisters from ALL races, cultures, classes and creeds. It's unfortunate that sometimes we attack our Brothers or Sisters because in the grand scheme of things we are hurting ourselves. I just want to express what an HONOR it is to be here and be able to discourse and socialize with all of you radiant souls. I'm anxious to hear back about what GLP is/represents to you. Its my place to hang. How does it affect me? Because I skip over 95% or more of the junk I can usually find an intelligent or newsworthy item. I find that I have become quite skeptical about DOOM dates.

I think too many take everything that is written so seriously and react unnecessarily to thinks that they are better off leaving alone. If one disagrees with someone's religious views or lack there of what difference does it truly make? Then there are the 'guppies' as I like to call them - these little fish in a big pond. Some of them loving, blissful and naïve and others ruthless and quite immature. Why feel the need to belittle and bash other people because they don't see eye to eye with you or they believe or support something you don't? If anything, GLP is a great learning tool and a "MIRROR" of sorts where we can truly take stock of our intentions, be they for good or ill, and assess the shortcomings, deceits and prejudices of our heart. I think on certain dates, due to certain 'RITUALS', there are 'events' that are triggered that take place in the Ethers somehow. These 'Rituals' are then super charged by the amount of people giving thought to them - either buying in to it or debunking it, both still give it power to grow. Its everything and nothing. A lot of crap for a little gold. But the gold is worth the crap. There are some truly awesome people on here, from all around the world. I love reading interactions between different people and countries. On a really crappy day glp can always make me laugh. The funniest thread I ever read was titled "Doomtards, ASSEMBLE!" I laughed for days everytime I thought about it. We are a force to be reckoned with. (The GLP effect) No one realizes how often we save the world. =)
