It's supposed to be the history channel, not the fairy tale channel. The whole thing was propaganda and asinine. The bible thumpers are so goddamn stupid they can't even read the book they supposedly worship and come to their own conclusions? They need the MSM to digest it and regurgitate it into a mini-series format with pretty pictures so they know what they are supposed to believe in? And isn't the companion book to 'The Bible' (the mini series) supposed to be THE BIBLE - not some novel??

I mean if you are going to believe in these fairy tales, fine, but if you want the rest of the world to take your ludicrous beliefs seriously you don't turn them into prime time television and have christian mingle and pat robertson buy ad time. WTF??

I like to watch some of the Ancient History, because some ancient manuscripts were hidden and left out of the bible. I'm sure we aren't reading the whole story like the real pseudo gods and pediphiles, lol.(However you spell that)

The history channel is an illuminati channel, like every other channel on t.v. The history channel promotes the theory of evolution, and the only reason they have a series about the bible is to bring even more hate and confusion to the book.

One word that had to be written out into Ten Commandments because there were idiots back then that couldn't understand it. God sent His Son down to explain this because the idiots had multiplied exponentially. He lived so righteous, TPTB wet there pants and killed him. They killed people that thought you should be nice and love each other. You would have to be past moron to do this. Now your mentors have found a way to profit off this. There are more errors in the movie. Why are you not being critical of them?? You know it's based off a book right? Have you ever read the Bible with an open mind or just a CNBC based mentality? Deuteronomy 21:18-21 "If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear."

Now you have read it did notice that at the start of the verse the son is just "stubborn and rebellious" BUT they are ordered to testify that he is "a glutton and a drunkard", thereby bearing FALSE WITNESS!

Moses is teaching people to break the 9th Commandment. Isn't he?

Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

OOps hang on no he isn't ... According to the Bible, GOD apparently thinks it is fine to bear false witness against a relative, thereby getting the son stoned to death! He states clearly "against thy neighbour".

Really?

GOD the most intelligent being ever, missed this point in the 10 commandments? Surely GOD would say "Do not bear false witness against anybody"!

You clearly don't understand the historical accuracy of the Bible. Did you know that there are over 6,000 ancient manuscripts in the original Hebrew and Greek (including the Dead Sea Scrolls)? Did you know that there are over 40,000 ancient manuscripts in translated languages used for evangelical purposes?

There is a misconception that there was an original manuscript somewhere that was copied once and when that copy wore out, it was copied again, and then again, etc. And through these many iterations, became corrupted. Then there is the idiotic notion that King James just made it all up. Neither idea is the case.

The first century Christian church spread out taking the gospel to the whole world. When they did this, they took copies of their scriptures. They made thousands of copies and many of these are still available today. No other book in antiquity is even close to the historical accuracy of the Bible.
