4/1 - The Day of the Nobody

No joke, it's Nobody's Day - the numerology proves it.

Want to honor the Nobody? Here's how to do it.

Empty your pockets, drop your purse. No wallet, no money, no ID, no keys, no phone, nothing. Then, go out your door, and lock it behind you. Really - go ahead. It's just part of one day, you won't die. Walk outside. Walk down the street. Reflect.

Look at your world with nothing on you. No access. No power. Nothing. Think about this being your real condition, not because you're a bum, or a loser, or an addict or a drunk - no. Think of all of your accomplishments just as they are, still existing. Then think of everyone you know getting the word to shun you - or else.

So they do. And now you are walking down the street, cut off, with nothing, and even that's not enough.

Because you find out you've been labelled as the "Nobody," in addition to everyone you know supporting slander against you, in order to protect their own asses.

This little experience isn't over yet. Contemplate this, outside, walking around your own neighborhood, going in and out of stores, parks, libraries, etc., thinking about it.

Then go home. Get in touch with whomever you have to to get into your house. Revel in your house, you keys, your wallet, your money, your phone, your access. Call a friend or family and talk to them, let yourself just experience their existence in your life, and that you aren't cut off and shunned and slandered.

Then, later, go to your weekly Secret Society meeting, whether Freemason, Order of the Eastern Star, Jesuit, or whatever your little special group calls itself. Sit there, talk to the other members, and reflect, for a moment, that what your organization REALLY exists to do is to inflict upon the Nobody what you gave yourself a little taste of, for his whole life - and YOU are a part of it.

Then get down on your knees, close your eyes, and pray with everything you have, that the reason this is being done to the Nobody in the first place is that he really is a nobody, and not Somebody.

And try really hard not to think about how utterly illogical that is.
