The North Korean satellite launched into space last week appears to be tumbling in orbit and is most likely dead, astronomers are reporting. The evident failure will not cause the spacecraft to fall quickly back to earth but seems to represent a major blow to the North’s portrayal of the launching as a complete triumph. Anonymous Coward User ID: 17845378 United States 04/01/2013 08:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | t Thx! Great info. I read last year somewhere - that is if a country wanted to really mess with the USA - all they had to do is mess with our EMP - that would halt our activities in so many ways - not just our power. [link to www.wnd.com] The EMP Commission pointed out that control systems and mutual interdependence are two of the most important aspects of modern infrastructures that pose the greatest vulnerability in all of the country’s infrastructures. “While conferring economic benefit and enormous new operational agility, the growing dependence of our infrastructures on these omnipresent control systems represents a new vector of vulnerability in the evolving digital age of the 21st century, such as cyber security,” the commission said. SCADAs are major electronic control systems that are used for data acquisition and control over large critical infrastructures that are distributed over large geographical areas. SCADA systems are especially used in such critical infrastructure applications as electrical transmission and distribution, water management and oil and gas pipelines. |

Anyone remember that missile, er I mean jet plane that was spotted over Los Angeles a couple years ago? A top military general called it a missile on live TV. Seems nobody in Los Angeles ever saw a jet before. |
