Thats the easy part. Liberals are all about the cause, and never about the individual. If the party supports a cause so do all its unthinking minions. For example, in the case of recent gun rights infringement arguments, the liberals say that its OK for a woman to be raped, she should just lay back and enjoy it, because its only an individual woman, vs the cause of gun control.
