The city is perhaps best known nationally for its mandatory gun-possession ordinance.

I live in East Point, which is pretty close to Kennesaw so I've heard a lot about this. What you guys are failing to mention is that the ordinance has no penalty if you don't abide by it. So essentially it's the city saying "F*** you" to the US government and nothing more. If you live in Kennesaw and don't own a gun there is no penalty. It's just a blatant attempt to thumb their nose at the government.
