US Navy moving hi-tech radar platform off coast of Korea
Is this to watch for any sign that an EMP burst missile will be launched towards the US West Coast?

Why? They keep telling us North Korea don't have the missiles to reach the US! I don't see any reason for this!!

You see.......all the old BMEWS line stations (Ballistic Missile Early Warning System)that are relics of the cold war, like the ones at Fylingdales in Yorkshire, England, and Thule, Greenland.....they wouldn't be able to spot missile trajectories of ICBM type missiles - with high resolution, launched from the Korean peninsula, so this platform is like a mobile Fylingdales, ready to warn the US of any trajectories towards North America.

It shows the US authorities want an early warning of any Nork launch.

If there is a launch, the USA will now probably just nuke them, no messing about.

Nothin' to stop lil' Kim creating a shower of Aluminium foil near the radars, though eh?

You fools, this is x band radar and will be not even remotely close to North Korea. It is anchored in the middle of the pacific, well out of range of the norks and defended by the us navy. It can "see" over the horizon, and is used to coordinate the intercept of ICBMs.

people keep saying we will just nuke them. Less everyone forgets about the thousands of US soldiers and all of South Korea we are suppose to protect.

We will not use nukes, maybe tactical but not the big boys.

It's a transmitter.

They're going to blast NK with tryouts for this year's Korean Idol!

yeah

Lil'Kim appears under a cammo net with people in the back holding up the netting so it doesn't colapse. 98% of NK's BS is simply that, BS, but it is that 2% that can always come around and bit you in the ass. I kind of doubt it, but who knows. lil'Kim could pull a rabbit out of his arse and actually do some damage if he really wanted to die.

If the Nork's hit Guam, it will be from a Sub or Boat at close range, not an ICBM.

There is no way they would use a missile to target America if they actually wanted it to arrive.

When it starts, they will launch a massive artillery barrage from their big guns, that are mostly underground. 60 years build-up of shells will totally trash the US bases near the DMZ, and Seoul.

Nothing can stop that many projectiles!

Hmm... perhaps, but if the military wants to get rid of such a useful tech asset, they might as well just do the seppuku.

You gotta be insane got wanting such a high-tech marvel to be destroyed. No way... that thing's protected by more Patriot missiles than any army can take!
