Re: sun wrong color, too bright
well the suns primary colour is green, hence why plants are green.

it appears white in the sky due to over saturation of our eyes.

its always been bright, always too bright.

dont worry its not going to kill you or make you blind.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37240768

Do you really believe this? The sun emits white light which is a combination of all the visible wavelengths. Plants are green because green is the color that is not absorbed by leaves. Chlorophyll does not use the green wavelength.

Stupid SunTards.... There is nothing wrong with the sun. How about you show proof that it is burning too bright?

Re: sun wrong color, too bright
The light coming from the sun is white. It is called yellow for astronomical spectrum classification purposes.

The temperature at the surface of the Sun is about 5700K, and the blackbody radiation spectrum has its maximum at the wavelength corresponding to the yellow color.

The actual solar spectrum is spread into a quite wide band of frequencies making its color almost plain white.

This "too bright" sun color makes me not want to go out and garden like I used to. I read that the ozone layer is obliterated like a Swiss cheese sandwich.

Why is the sun yellow at noon and red at sunset?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37662041

Message:

Why is the sun yellow at noon and red at sunset?

I have heard a number of theories.

1) The atmosphere absorbs more of the shorter wavelength light (violet, blue, green etc..) because the sun's light has to travel through more atmoshere to reach our eyes at sunset.

2) The atmosphere refracts the light and turns it into red light instead of white/yellow.

3) The earth's gravity bends the light over its surface and the shorter wavelengths are pulled into the earth's surface leaving only the longer, red light to reach us.

Are any of these true are is it something else?

Thank you for your time.

You can that info even in old school books too.

I observe the sun daily with my solar telescope and can stand outside for hours without getting burned. Looks like your proof is invalid.

Yesterday I get blinded just for looking at the sunlight reflection for just few seconds on the opposite clouds (without wearing sunglasses), in other words, the sun was back of me and these white clouds was in front of me.

I put "sun too bright" into google trends.

It starts in 2010 and just goes off the charts through 2013

Am I reading too much into this? Or did google not start keeping records until 2010

what do you guys think?

Big fact here, the sideways moon:

Dec. 2011. As you can see, most of the traffic was from the Northern Hemisphere Regions (USA & Canada) where that kind of moon it's not supposed to be seen.

Not too long in this time, just 3 or 5 seconds.

I remember, in the last decade (almost before 2004) in the summer time on the beach, I could look at the sun comfortably wearing the sunglasses for several minutes.

I thought sun light was comprised of all the colours. and plants absorbed all the colours but green. that's why we see it as green. Was my science teachers wrong?

Buy a Color Temp Meter at Amazon.com and confirm that

the color temp is climbing fast on our sun.

Normal color temp = 5870 K.

Try a Sekonic C-500R.
