sun wrong color, too bright
I put "sun too bright" into google trends.

It starts in 2010 and just goes off the charts through 2013

Am I reading too much into this? Or did google not start keeping records until 2010

what do you guys think?

When I was a child(I'm 50 now) I drew the sun yellow. When you tried you were able to look shortly at the sun, and it was yellow. Now it's painfully white. No way you can look to the sun now not even in the direction.

Re: sun wrong color, too bright
well the suns primary colour is green, hence why plants are green.

it appears white in the sky due to over saturation of our eyes.

its always been bright, always too bright.

dont worry its not going to kill you or make you blind.

Stop googling it FFS then the trend will drop off.
"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

You can't prove anything unless you have at least three Phd's under your belt and even then you are wrong. The Sun is white, the Sun has always been white. Nothing ever changes, every thing is always the same. Your eyes are going bad. You don't know anything. Stop thinking about things. Nothing to see here.

You should look at the sun longer...a good 10 minutes without sunglasses.

Wel thats good. Because if things started to get darker then id be worried.

All bullshit aside: for me as a photographer i do alot of landscapes. For the past 10+ years..

some times the sun seems brighter when its hazy Some days it seems darker. Honestly the only noticeable change i see is when the weather affects it. Ie. haze, clouds, moisture in air, or simply direction change.

I cant remember my optometrist ever recommending staring at the sun to compare its brightness . That would be the equivalent of an idiot high beaming himself to test the brightness of his new flashlight.

Just dont bring that logic to a shooting range...

Re: sun wrong color, too bright
It is a subtle change that is very gradual. Not everyone is sensitive to it. They use high frequencies to annoy teens and keep them from congregating in certain places:

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

Most people over 25 cannot hear it, as the hearing for humans as a whole drops off with age. Ageing asside, this effect demonstrates how that some can be sensitive to a phenomenon while others are not.

All of the senses are similar. The change in the sun is gradual and this is the reason why only certain sensitive people are picking up on it.

It may not be a change in the Sun, but a change in our atmosphere.
ever noticed how the Sun becomes Orange when it sets - Well thats due to the atmosphere.
I hate to tell you, but the sun doesnt cool down at night ;)
I too have noticed the "Change" in the colouration of the Sun - It was more "Yellow" from my childhood momories.
However I would argue its not a change in the sun - If it did change that much I figure we'd all look like krispy bacon now

To all the sun is white tards

crazyjak

Normal yellow stars like the Sun seem to make much fewer X-rays. Even some cool stars make more X-rays than the Sun. New theories are being developed to account for this discovery. The space observations indicate that the speed of a star's rotation may play a more important role than its temperature in determining its X-ray luminosity, and indeed the Sun is a slowly rotating star. Faster-turning stars seem to outshine slower ones of the same type in X-rays.

Arcturus in the brightest star north of the equator. With a declination +19.5°, it only reaches an altitude of about 30° as seen from New Zealand. The star is cooler and a little more ######yellow##### than the Sun. Its diameter is about 25 times that of the Sun, but its mass is only about 4 times that of the Sun, giving it a very low density, about 0.0003 the Sun's density.
