MERS CoV 1352 Cases, 479 deaths Study Examines Transmissibility of H7N9 Avian Influenza Virus Quoting: prodlikegod Chinese and U.S. scientists have used virus isolated from a person who died from H7N9 avian influenza infection to determine whether the virus could infect and be transmitted between ferrets. Ferrets are often used as a mammalian model in influenza research, and efficient transmission of influenza virus between ferrets can provide clues as to how well the same process might occur in people. The research was supported, in part, by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the National Institutes of Health. [link to www.infectioncontroltoday.com] Good read NOT good news... From link: All the infected ferrets and pigs showed mild signs of illness, such as sneezing, nasal discharge, and lethargy, but none of the infected animals became seriously ill. - I find that very interesting. Seems the only thing this virus kills is... us!!! BEWARE THE VACCINES... remember this? Vaccines as Biological Weapons? Live Avian Flu Virus Placed in Baxter Vaccine Materials Sent to 18 Countries [link to www.naturalnews.com] I remember this well, although I hadn't read this article before. Good read. And yes, beware the vaccine. Last Edited by Vic-chick13 on 05/24/2013 01:02 PM |

So much so, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the CDC this week published a 1 BILLION dollar cost plus Federal Solicitation for the purposes of emergency experimentation with H7N9 Flu vaccines and emergency experimental antiviral treatments. The Solicitation specifically references "preparation for a possible large scale national H7N9 influenza vaccination program." Earlier this month, the CDC issued a presolicitation announcement of their intended $600 million dollar acquisition of 512 million syringes, alcohol prep pads and other related products necessary to meet the vaccine administration needs of the American public during a pandemic influenza event. |

It appears that H7N9 was not suspected, and he recovered sufficiently enough to return to a daycare facility on May 24th. Samples taken from the child were analyzed on May 28th, and found to be positive for the H7N9 virus. The child was subsequently returned to the hospital for observation, and surveillance of his contacts is underway. |

"The apparent ease with which antiviral resistance emerges in A/H7N9 viruses is concerning; it needs to be closely monitored and considered in future pandemic response plans," the authors wrote.
