All over restarting a reactor, how many nuclear reactors and weapons does the US have again? Who's been the only country to ever nuke another country in history? Are we supposed to be the Nuke Nazis?

Impotent, but not meaningless. A UN endorsement can legitimize US action and also help add military assets from other countries. The UK, France, and a few others may each send a ship or two to participate in an exercise. Such a move would send notice that it isn't just SK and the US involved, but other powerful western nations as well.

I know the seemingly token contributions by our allies don't get much respect by Americans, but a half dozen modern warships (and if our allies lack numbers it cannot be said that their warships are not quite modern and capable) make up a formidable task force that would be very useful.

If you mobilize every B2 and F22, F18, F16 at your disposal along with a massive bombardment by sea from both sides of the peninsula, I highly doubt North Korea is gonna be in any shape to mount any kind of decent counter attack !

Of course all this has to be done with a very quick evacuation of most of Seoul to get the people out of range of NK's heavy artillery...about the only asset they have !

The U.N. involvement in the North Korea propaganda show is all everyone should need to see... to know what set-up it all is.

North Korea is being used as a diversion from the real enemy.

Any military action against NK will result in China getting involved. China has a defense treaty with NK and by the looks of things, they aren't doing SHIT to stop NK from jumping off the bridge.

All it would take is a phone call saying "Hey, stop your bullshit or we won't ship you any more oil, food or build that new shipping rail we promised you guys to help your economy."

Instead, China mobilizes troops to the border and so far have done NOTHING to quell the raging Kim.

China wants this, be sure of it. If NK really wanted to do something on their own, they would have already instead of waiting for the US to bolster their assets. Instead, the US is being drawn in.

This is probably doing wonders for the relationship between China and Iran.

I distinctly remember Bush publicly saying that the Iraqi oil would be used to pay for the war. Lying SOB let the oil companies go in and take over the wells and keep the profit for themselves.

No country should have nuclear weapons, that's obvious but because some do others should be able to have the weapons for defensive purposes. Iran has nothing to do with this, but having said that currently Iran's program is strictly for civilian power and contrary to what bigots like you believe(just because brown Muslims live there), the UN inspectors have submitted their findings from every inspection and they even say themselves the plant is just for Power.

NK has been victimized and infiltrated since it's creation, it's a smaller poor country like all of the countries picked on by the west. They have every right to pursue the means to defend their nation and their people from super power imperialism. USA has been the ONLY country to EVER nuke another country and you're saying Iran who's not attacked another country in CENTURIES is a nuclear threat? And NK who does not posses nuclear weapons small enough to fit on a missile let alone do they possess a missile that could reach US mainland. It's not even been proven without a doubt they possess functioning nuclear weapons and every program has had major setbacks some complete duds. Yeah, I get a lot of people like you believe in double standard because you think this run down piece of trash country is somehow better than everywhere and everyone else in the world. The fact of the matter is no country should have them, BUT because aggressive nuclear powers, like those in the west especially and hostile rogue states like Israel exist, other countries should have the ability to defend themselves with equally powerful weaponry. Actually neither, both wars were over the petro-dollar and the selling of the oil. Anyone that attempts to sell oil for gold, gets framed and invaded as was the case in Iraq and Libya. There was also comment made about Afghanistan too, but it was about using precious minerals found throughout the country, not oil.
