How ObamaCare Is Affecting My Job
I am a substitute teacher. I chose to sub because I'm married with a baby. I primarily stat at home with our daughter, and only work on the 2 days a week he's off (when he's off on a weekday and school is in). My husband's money pays the "hard bills", and my money is for the extra things...like date nights, or vacations. I also put a percent into savings.

Since subs are temporary, they don't have full-time benefits. I've never cared. Like I said, I do it because it offers flexibility with my daughter and my family in general. If the baby's sick, or if my husband's off and simply says " Let's make this a family day", I have control of that. Well, I did have control of that...but not anymore.

Because of Obamacare, they are demanding that the schools provide us with benefits (that most of us don't even want)!. The schools don't have the money to do that, so they have hired a temp service to come in that can provide benefits.

Under this temp service we will be under a magnifying glass. If we don't accept enough jobs to sub, they will fire us. We have to document our own schedule and payroll as well. I thought accountants were supposed to do that? I will have to send them a record of everything that

happens during the day (fights, etc). If they don't like how I handle things, they will fire me. They have very strict policies of disciplining the kids. We watched a video on it, but the kids in the video were all well-behaved. They have no idea what we go through ( thugs with pants down to their ankles , rap music blaring, cell phones out, cussing us, being defiant, etc). They are not teachers, and do not understand this, but want to implement strict policies on we handle these issues. `So when I'm sitting there doing my own payroll, and being disciplined about disciplening a child, I can thank Obama.

Maybe this will be a blessing in disguise for you. Stay home with your child and let your husband support you all. The little extras you do earn(which seems to be not really needed) is not worth the stress of that job. Your child is more important. And so are you and your husband. A happy family is worth more than extra money.

Sometimes the money is "not needed" as you said, but other times it comes in very handy. For instance, when a family member died a while back, we had to travel across country to the funeral. Because of my "stash" gave us an extra thousand for all our traveling expenses, and hotel.

Put together a budget and stick to it. Get rid of non-essentials and put the money in savings. Get an emergency stash of at least a few months. Then you can save for extras like vacations. Differentiate needs from wants. My family has a three month hiatus from all spending that is not essential. We will be able to build up a good savings from that. It just sounds like that job is not worth it due to the stress and the type of kids you are around. Maybe go to a private school and see if they hire subs.

BTW, I can see where you would want to attend the funeral but that is a want and not a need. The world would not end if you didn't go. There is always the telephone and Skype to talk to relatives and express condolences. Again, you have to put you, your child, and your husband above everyone or everything else. If it is taking away from your families peace then it needs to go.

This is not so much about me personally, although I did vent. It's about Obamacare ,and how much more strict ALL jobs will soon become. First, they demand you have benefits. But, when they give them to you, that means you are OWNED. They control your job at that point. That's the message I was trying to get across.

No work? I would love to let you fill in for me one day. You get up at 6 AM, and do not stop until 3:30. In fact, here's a walkthrough.

A. 6 AM - Get up
7:15 -Get to school Sometimes there's a lesson plan....sometimes you just have to make one yourself even though you just walked in the room, and don't know where anything is, or what's going on.
7;30.) Kids come walking down the hall, pants down where you can see their underwear, rap music blaring, throwing things, arguing with each other.
7:35.) You look up and there' a fist fight. You yell for help, and try to break it up without getting killed.
7:45) The fighters leave with an office in handcuffs. You power through the roll. Menawhile, kids are out of their seats, walking around, rap music blaring.
7;50.) You ask one to put away the music. HE says you didn't f***ing pay for it. He walks out of room.
8:00.) You report that, and still need to do the roll.
8:15) You power though the roll, While kids answer to the wrong names on purpose. They laugh when you try to figure out who is who.
8:30 You attempt to teach the lesson you made since the teacher didn't leave you not as much as a cliff note.
9:15 You ask a girl t put away her cell phone. She yells "fuckin no" and walks out.

You repeat this general cycle all day every time the bell rings until 3:30.

If you are too strict, the kids tell the teacher. and you wont' get called again. If you're too leniant, you're in trouble with the principal.

3:30 - You walk to your car, so exhausted you can barely walk.

LOL
The temp services have been touting their program for substituting all over the nation. This isn't about Obamacare as they claim. They've been implementing this for at least 6 years or so.

Just quit.

It's a sham. Not the temp service but the way TPTB want everyone to be unhappy with their situation. No one is to have that much control over your own living situation. These temps services come in to help put the pressure on like they are doing in every profession.

It's on purpose and by design. They will also say it helps the state not have to deal with this but it's actually to make sure you know you're a slave.
