Either way, there is a large increase in mass wasting at this moment, and it is happening globally. Sinkholes, cliffs collapsing. It's unnerving to think of just standing there one minute and then being swallowed up in the next. Like those people in China and the guy in Florida. You can't even be sure of the ground beneath your feet.
