Earth's size, per NASA is about the size of an average sun spot. Now move that liitle spot 93 million miles away from sun, now can you see the earth while seeing the SUN in the same frame?

If you do, now see, where will the perfect darkness come from for that tiny nano dot, aka earth?

The answer is that you are simply not very intelligent.

It has nothing to do with Nasa 'telling' us anything. The basic laws of physics are pretty firmly established, if they weren't the modern world you live in wouldn't exist. The motions of the bodies in our solar system have been firmly and accurately documented for a very long time by a wide range of people both professional and amateur. If the Sun's described parameters were not being accurately described, the motions of the objects in our Solar system would reflect this.

You are a dumb child questioning things that are obviously beyond your full comprehension. If you refute the Suns parameters, then please show some math that proves it. Otherwise keep your silly fantasies to yourself.

Not that it much matters, but do you understand how small the angular size of the sun is from earth at that distance? Do the math. Here's a spreadsheet that does just that:

About half a degree is the answer. Now why is it that you still think there "shouldn't" be a night side to earth given this fact?

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your time and patience.

NASA knows exactly where they lost the ring, so they will make sure they will never search where they lost it. So, by knowing the answer, they can derive any number questions that will lead to the answer and purport that as theories, facts (f'ukin acts) to keep the sheeple in darkness forever, and ever.

I have more supporting info than I can share here for obvious reasons.

Remember, Truth doesn't change, ever, because it was defined by the Creator. Facts on the other hand...

In other words, they will both look about the same size. Voila!

I don't understand why would NASA take all the pain in doing such calculations to make the earth and sun look about the same size to give us the perfect darkness.

They could just as well zoom out further and make the sun few thousand miles wide and several thousand miles away from earth which might just work as well. Crazy right!?

Oh and one more thing, it will make it much easier to explain the moon cycles too when both sun and moon become similar in size and distance.

Oh, BTW, can I tell you something that most here would not know? (How arrogant of me, for being a saint!)

For any interesting game to sell, the heroism - the good - must rule 2/3 of the game and villain'ism - the evil - must rule the 1/3 of the game.

As you can see, the 2013 AD, is the era of Evil and we are coming pretty close to the end of the game. That means, the Hero is about reclaim his rightful power of in this game and rule again for another 2/3rd of the next game.

You, and me are just the actors in this game and we are pretty good at it, because we don't have know we are acting. How sad is that!?

Re: THINK: Never a NIGHT on Earth, if NASA is true
By the way, when you are the omnipotent, it gets pretty boring after several play of the game since you know every single thing that's going to happen ahead of time and it isn't really interesting.

So, what do you, as the creator, do? You dumb down your power in the game, and try acting as if you know nothing about future. Now, it get's interesting. What you wanted this time, is to get pleasant surprises, but without your precognition of that coming.

Well, that was good for a while. But, later on, it got boring as well. Why, because, you always got the good ones, pleasant stuff, and you never get to appreciate what that pleasantness, goodness means, so you 'as the creator' tried again with a different rule in the game. That is, I want surprises as well as shocks in the games. Well, that worked. In fact, it worked too well, that you couldn't get out of the game for a long time!

So, you created another rule, that 2/3 of the time, good will rule, 1/3 of the time, evil will rule, in the final reel, the hero will come and save us. "The End"

Well, for the heck of it. What if the current sun is not our sun at all, they say we left that awhile ago. Has anyone noticed how the sun seems to keep getting brighter and brighter. This would be one hell of a conspiracy, but, what if that thing we see in the sky is...wait for it........a giant comet. The one they said is 100x larger than the earth and found back in 1989. It is coming at us extremely slow, thus a gradual brightning. The earth is spinning, however the comet is coming at us on a direct path. When the earth night comes, that part of earth is not facing the comet, and again vice versa for the daylight. If this was true, then we are being lied to, on a grand scale. "Operation Side-Swipe". This could definately be the reason for all of the stockpiling of ammo and all the underground digging. This thing might not directly hit, but glide buy, burning up everything on the surface of the planet. Sleep tight everyone!!

Re: THINK: Never a NIGHT on Earth, if NASA is true
For primitive enough experiments, yes, the distance of the Sun is derived even more directly than that of the Moon.

First up to bat is Aristarchus (or, rather, he's usually given credit). The Sun shines down into a well at Noon where he is. A friend a few hundred miles North finds the Sun is several degrees off from being able to shine down a well.

If you assume both wells are on the surface of a sphere, and the Sun is at infinite distance (at least to within the error bars of this experiment), you can use this to solve for the circumference of the Earth. Which he did. And the wells might not have been perfectly plumb, and the distance from one well to the other was estimate by people who walked there following trade routes...but the errors happened to cancel out in his favor and he got the number about right.

Now we have the distance to the Moon. Using primitive observational equipment (naked-eye, no decent chronometers), there's no way you can figure it out from parallax. But...you can observe a lunar eclipse.

Even a partial eclipse shows, clearly, the round edge of the Earth as a shadow on the Moon's track. And you can figure out the size of that shadow, and with basic geometry, you know how far away that shadow is (based on how big around you previously figured the Earth was!) And that tells you the distance to the Moon.

But then we have to bump forward over a thousand years. To Sir Isaac and universal gravitation. Assuming (as he did, and as we still do), that gravity is the same throughout the universe, you can calculate how far an object needs to be from a particular mass (like the Sun) to have a particular orbital period.

He could plug in the known distance of the Moon, and by expanding the ratios, come up with a distance for the Sun that made not just the Earth, but all the planets orbit at their observed periods.

I'm simplifying a bit at this point, because then we embark on the dizzying journey of the stellar ladder, but we also start to bolster these kind of basic pre-telescopic observations with radio astronomy, space probes, and of course optics precise enough to actually measure the parallax of a star.

A very close star, that is. In fact, the closest star to us that isn't a red dwarf. The Moon as visible from Earth occupies a half degree of arc; what is called thirty minutes of arc. These devices could measure down to a difference of a second of arc. And it just so happens that if you spend six months making the observation, you can observe Alpha Centauri moving against the background stars by that second of arc.

A parallax of one second. A par-sec.

When I saw this thread, I thought the Punisher-bot had just discovered Olber's Paradox. Now that might be interesting!

But I wonder if we aren't missing something else about the hypothetical dust spec. Unlike the thousands of km the Earth has for a diameter, a dust spec is of a size that is close to the wavelength of visible light. This means light can actually bend around it. You have to get down to energies like the CMBR before a wave function will bend around the Earth!

Orbital motion of the earth..? No, earth doesn't move the way NASA purports as it is. There is no gravity, it's all in magnetism and vibrational frequencies.

Thanks for taking the time to write this. Unfortunately, I am unable to get the gist of it.

But I would appreciate your one-liner understanding of this.

Re: THINK: Never a NIGHT on Earth, if NASA is true

A GIANT COMET theory. I love it. ;-) As long as it's a theory, it will continue to stay away from the layer of the truth. So, let's not move backward, but dive deeper closer to the truth.

After all, that's why we are here in this site, not to debunk and getting paid in cents and pennies.

I strongly believe, our time in this incarnation, is much more valuable than imaginary numbers entered in a private database.

Remember, you are at least 3 layers away from the true self (if not 8). The real you, self, is sitting in front of a game console where the your role-playing character is playing a game inside his console who is experiencing what you are doing right now.

BTW, The game that your "Self" plays is about to end.
