Ok, so lets say that North Korea's submarines 17 km/h, submerged. (Their fastest known submarine, Sang-O-class).

It's roughly 6000 miles from NK to the US.

So 17 km/h is roughly 10.5 miles/hour.

That is 571 hours or roughly 21 days to reach the US. Plus or minus a day or so depending on weather, surfacing and other factors.

Then you have to factor how close they actually need to be to launch.


I would estimate anywhere from 15-25 days.



My math could be wrong, and information of the class submarine may be out dated or incorrect. The submarine class used may be different than the Sang-O Class that I used, speculation says there maybe a Sang-O-II class witch is faster. So don't get all pissy if I am wrong, which I sure I am.
