The pay has gone UP since it's become the "work" destination of the welfare-to-work people under some previous Presidents. High paid welfare for high-melanin people.

Yup - you used to say (when you saw a mentally handicapped individual) - I hope he can at least get a goverment job (meaning not starve to death on the streets).

So I guess in one sense not much has changed...

It's just welfare where instead of sitting on the couch at home…you can "make" more money by sitting on the chair in the Gov't office. They have to pay a premium to attract people off that comfy couch, gnome-sane?

The sad part is that you all believe this, but the plenty of people on the bottom of govt work getting shit pay and working their asses off can never correct you, because speaking out may mean being identified and terminated.

It's not all high pay and it's sure as hell not all easy.

I read that fire fighters in Stockton California can retire at 50 years old with 90% of their salary each year for life and free "benefits" for life. Not a bad gig for working 2 days a week.

I'm an American posting from America who has had some experience with govt work. It beats the hell out of your spirit, it's not cushy work except for a very few.
