I was ready to say virtually the same thing .. the hippies were on the right track. They brought an end to the Vietnam war, they were working on civil rights for blacks, equal rights for women, new paradigm thinking ... they had to be stopped. Enter the CIA (or whoever) to infiltrate the hippie community with LSD and other drugs which became their downfall, got them off track of their original purpose.

But the spirit has not died, it has only gone quietly into hiding. I see it alive and kicking in many people from teenagers to old ladies. We are waiting ... waiting ...

Of course I've heard of the Korean war my uncle was shot 7 times but survived.
