Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30311833 Is no one considering the residuals of letting North Korea get away with this?? Definition of DEFUNCT: no longer living, existing, or functioning <that firm is now defunct> Get away with what exactly? Having nuclear weapons and acting in an arrogant fashion without concern for international opinion? Gee I wonder where we've seen that done before... |

Now there is NO control over nuclear, anybody can do anything they want with them. (not that I am saying they did it well, but at least they tried.) Can't back up what you say, there is no point in saying it. What do you mean I can't back up what I say? A bunch of countries developed nuclear weapons FIRST, and now they think they can police the world and prevent other countries from following the SAME PATH? You don't see the hypocrisy in that? Other countries are just following their irresponsible example. Military technology = LEVERAGE.... That's exactly what the North Koreans are doing. Playing their cards just like the other countries did that played the game before them.... |

The only way Canad will get involved is if they try and invade us which they won't. They will drag the US into a war. They have all the time and resources to do it. |

Seems a bit premature. I get the feeling that the wars to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons have yet to begin. We're not backing down on this one, either they give up their program, or the NK regimes days are numbered. Also, the article blames Bush and Obama for "opening the era of nuclear permissiveness." You know what, the US isn't the only country in the world. China and Russia were on board with the latest round of sanctions over NK's nuclear program. The US which is about 8% of the worlds population, is supposed to take ALL of the blame for this situation? |

Yes. With Japan renewing sanctions, that's going to do it. (there was a thread that had a post about "threesome.") It's all starting again :( |

Building a “Finished product” is another! NK uses Uranium based Nukes due to the fact that they have no Plutonium. To get a “worthwhile” Uranium based Nuke it has to be @ 1000 kg in size. ICBM are usually delivered by going @ 1000 miles into space. That’s why “Star wars” was built in the 90’s, remember? The NK satellite was send into lower orbit by a 3 stage rocket. The satellite was @ 200 Kg and barely made it up there. The leading edge technology satellite plays a children’s song for Christ sake. Little Kim is not Darth Vader, “Fart Vader” is more like it.. |
