To sum up, the fishing boat the guy stole should never have had its keys onboard, it should never have been allowed to leave port at night, Yeonpyeongdo’s radar didn’t even detect his boat until it had almost reached the NLL, a Navy patrol boat wasn’t sent until he was already across the NLL, and what the hell was a defector doing on Yeonpyeongdo anyway? TOTAL FUCKING FAIL. You & NK = Total fucking fail |

Let’s take a look at its best units, the highly trained fighters who fill the ranks of the almost 200,000 North Korean Special Operations Forces. In contrast South Korea only has 8,000 Special Forces troops. Math....it is your friend. |

Ground warfare...face to face...rifle to rifle... bayonet to bayonet. Cry havoc...and let slip...the Dogs of War. |

Sbert User ID: 36050084 United States 04/05/2013 08:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The ROK marines are a exceptionally trained force. They were famous for what they did in vietnam. [link to talkingproud.us] "In one battle in January 1966, two battalions of NVA tried to overrun two ROK Marine companies. The fight lasted for three hours and the enemy suffered 400 dead outside the Marine perimeter." "The approximately 300 11-3 ROK Marines at the village of Tra Binh Dong in the Chu Lai region were attacked by about 1,500 man NVA regiment on February 14, 1967 (we have also seen a figure of about 2,400 NVA)." Basically, the ROK marines handed the vietnam army their asses to them. That being said. The rumors are that the training of the North Korean army is more rigorous and superior. Although they may lack the technology, they have superior ground troops when it comes down to man to man. |

KonspiracyKitty User ID: 1295140 United States 04/05/2013 08:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | From the article at [link to koreajoongangdaily.joinsmsn.com] : A Defense Ministry official said, “Lee and other fishermen on Yeongpyeong had conflicts. They scolded Lee for being bad at his job and said it was because he was from North Korea.” He also told the boat owner, “You son of a b****, you should have been nicer to me when I was there.” It sounds like they were really hard on the guy. I would imagine the South Koreans don't feel too much love for North Korea and the South Koreans who worked with the defector took it out on the guy. I wouldn't want to stay either if everyone was treating me like shit. Poor guy. Thought he made the right decision and snuck off to the South, only to find that his southern brothers hated him. He's probably dead now though, the North doesn't take too kindly to defectors. At least I hope he's dead, that's probably the kindest fate he'll find. Or maybe he was a spy, but I dunno, doesn't sound that way to me from what he said. |

You still need to give credit where it's due no matter how much spite you have. Sorry that you have such a bad regard of the ROK marines. Understandable that you've taken it personally, but you can't just say the NVA and ROK never engaged each other just to further a spiteful point that's based on emotional bullshit. |
