Face Palmer User ID: 37489861 Germany 04/05/2013 09:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If this is true, NK has nothing to loose and the US will go up in smoke. Then worlds financial markets crash. We all die. The End. Quoting: Face Palmer You seriously cannot be that daft. Damn, I tried to blend in "The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title." Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. The woman who is not pursued sets up the doctrine that pursuit is offensive to her sex, and wants to make it a felony. Anonymous Coward User ID: 24957083 United States 04/05/2013 11:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A unified Korea benefits neither China or the US. South Korea is already a HUGE industrial power. They can shift their entire economy from consumer industry to a wartime industry in a day and become the largest manufacturers of weapons in the world. They have some of the largest ship building ports and some of the largest manufacturers in the world. They have a large pool of engineers and quite a large pool of skilled workers. This scares China more than ever and unifying the North with the South would be a disaster for them as that would give Korea even more man power for their military that would rival China. North Korea is doomed, South Korea doesn't really need help from anyone. You'll be surprised how fast the Koreans will switch sides against China if they intervened. The Koreans were already on the path of unifying peacefully until the US and China intervened politically. |

That was a US military operation not a natural earthquake. Now they have cleared the land and huge work camps (which can't be distinguished from military camps) will be set up there shortly, supposedly for the rebuild. The centre of town has been off limits for ages, god knows what they are up to in there. Thread: US extremely interested in CHRISTCHURCH - NZ ... . |

The mobilization of troops to the border is for containment purposes to keep refugees from swamping the Chinese countryside. Quoting: Jefiner Correct. China is mobilising to repel and/or control nork refugees. China does NOT want tens of thousands of starving non-Chinese streaming in. I Support Our First Responders |

Amazed Continually! User ID: 1190661 Australia 04/05/2013 06:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This makes a lot of sense. Quoting: Amazed Continually! 1190661 China will be inwardly fuming. They have lost control of Junior. NK are embarrassing China on the world stage. China doesn't want a war... they are building their country on PEACE. Why would they want the money boat rocked when they have become the world's economic powerhouse? I said on another thread Kim and his cronies in the military might take a long sleep soon. This would leave the door open for China to insert a puppet government and run North Korea from Beijing. If China does they can win the people over immediately by providing food, and starting to help the country back into the real world. This could be a win/win for China and a lose/lose for Junior & the military. I hope I am right... Cause then we can get back to more out there DOOM! This actually sounds like the best case scenario. That or the basketball game, lol.... Yep it seems like the best alternative to me. China is aware that Junior running his mouth off is just the start of their problems. People are saying that China will just sit this one out, and maybe that is true, BUT, it will be a strategic mistake for them in the long term. Every week North Korea strengthens it's military position, meaning they get closer to being able to thumb their noses at China like they have the rest of the world. It is obvious that China doesn't have the control over North Korea that it did in the past. I agree with others that have said that the placing of Chinese troops on the border are to stop an influx of refugees, already starving, from Junior's failure to feed his country, should an attack happen. I just wish China would man up and squash this bug so that we can all get on with our lives. |

Why would they back a lunatic fool in NK??? Quoting: The Quiet One They will allow the U.S. and SK to do the dirty work and then the Chinese will take over the whole Korean Peninsula. They are not fools. The quote about lips/teeth was from Mao years ago. Not today. China loves the money it is getting and they have no interest in NK anymore except cheap labor. I hate to say it, but start your Rosetta Stone China language course now - cause we all will be speaking Chinese in the future. Damn, I sure miss the old days when we complained about Corporations shipping our labor to Mexico. At least then we didn't have an issue of war and doom. China knows the "bubble" of capitalism is about to bust. The US and Europe will default on their debts. China will be left holding the bad paper. So war is an option. Using N. Korea as a war puppet - priceless. Either way they win. |
Marxist User ID: 14883058 New Zealand 04/05/2013 10:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | that is aboslutely not true. China's future is tied up in BRICS. which has nothing to do with western fakery. Not quite. The fates of the globes elite are increasingly inter-dependent and co-operate at many levels in a bid to maximise their extraction of labour surplus from the world's working class. A few wildcards, like Iran and NK create periodic bumps on the road to the complete emergence of a fully globalised ruling elite but these will eventually be removed. Capital MUST globalise before the emergence of the next social economy. Consequently, I disregard the antics of Iran, NK and all the other minor troublespots. Workers of the World, Unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains! |

Also, think about all the Chinese people already living comfortably in the US and all over the world.. Plus the people of Hong Kong would not put up with this alliance with NK. They stand to lose their standing as the financial hub of Asia. |
