Message Subject My best friend of 13 years just died. (DOG). Is there any evidence they survive and cross to the other side?

Having been surrounded by a menagerie of pets my entire life...and a follower of Christ...this question has come to my mind more than once when I lost one of my dear "friends."

I think of it in this way. The Bible tells us that Heaven is even more glorious than we can imagine. It speaks of mansions there...vineyards...gentle lions, lambs, harmless serpents, etc so we know animals are there. We know it has many earth-experience type aspects.

There are no reasons in the Bible that speak to pets NOT being there. No, they do not have souls exactly like ours...but, then, I am not suggesting that the pets enter Heaven to receive their reward either (because they are not guilty of sin that they had to seek redemption of/overcome). I am suggesting that maybe, just maybe, a part of YOUR reward is for your pet to be with you in your mansion in Heaven...trailing behind you in those vineyards....by your side as you sing praises to our Lord.

Many, with good intentions may respond with little hope for this scenario. They may be correct, or I might be. But, I caution you, in your grief, not to let those on this board with empty, cold hearts to sadden you further with their intentionally cruel answers.

The fact is, I am guessing your departed pet had more love and compassion for others than several humans on glp. Sad.

At the same time, there will be many here that will (and HAVE) seek to comfort you (a stranger) and that shows the true LOVE of Christ.... A Savior who states He is working right this minute on preparing a place for those that love Him.

Nothing in the Bible states that you cannot ask Him to consider allowing your wee companion to be there waiting for you when you go home!
