no volcano, commonly earthquake occur in that area
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4682056 [ link to neic.usgs.gov] not common to have quakes the WRONG side of the subduction zone. yes, there's a few quakes there, but ALL bar 4 quakes the wrong side of the subduction zone. Oz is diving under the plate north of it remember. it's jammed. these quakes are ominous. a LOT of stress is building up on that plate, so much so the it is actually CRACKING NW of Sumatra. one of these fucking days.....
