hard to picture Joe as a Zionist, seeing him at his church, etc., he is many things I do not like, but Zionist seems like a strange fit. Joe avoids controversy by courting it -no one really knows waht goes through his mind.

Joe IS:
a masterful survivor
a man who fools many
a lie from beginning to end. As I type, I sit a scant few miles from the house he bought with his first wife as a young lawyer.

Man it is splendid.
and this was before he became a national figure.
He is not a "man of the people" or anything of the sort, but a skillful player in the games of life.
