nice, first get everone addicted to wheat (just google wheat addicition) which gets people fat and miserable,
plant wheat (instead of those many other, more healthy grains) everywhere and
then make people miserable and spend more money on it due to missharvests of it.

Major wheat growing countries of the world have had a string of years, 4-5, of crop failure from floods, droughts, early frosts, and late frosts !

No, rice can be grown like wheat in non flooded fields and . Rice is grown in Texas and California, states which aren't generally known as being underwater.

It is actually kind of sad. They are facing shortages for their own population and then have to worry about a whole host of parasites to feed too.

you go to your local market because you need to pick up a loaf of bread to make sandwiches for your child's lunch. You also pick up some crackers, buns for the hamburgers for your cookout and a box or two of cereal for breakfast. What would you do when you get up to the checkout, unload your cart, look up and see you just paid $9.00 for that loaf of bread and $6.00 for each box of cereal?

I'd probably start baking my own with flour made from a different grain, I will not pay silly money for bread.

just wanted to throw in a really quick/easy receipe for wheat tortillas !

the ones you use for wraps !

the ones i can buy at the store are expensive and tasty like old leather, so i decided to make my own:

250g wheat flour (=1 cup)
1/2 teaspoon salt
250ml boiling water (=1 cup)


mix flour+salt, put in boiling water, mix with big spoon.
as soon as it is somewhat colder so you won´t get your hands burned, mix with your hand

part dough in 6, roll out to really flat tortillas, make sure to put enough flour under it so it won´t stick!

heat pan (but without oil or else!), put in 1 tortilla, bake from both sides until it gets brown spots and makes bubbles.
continue with the other ones.
roll up with stuff you have in the fridge, nutella is fine, too.
enjoy!

(if you make more and freeze them, repeat step. i don´t recommend making a bowl 500g flour/500ml boiling water, it stays too long too hot, you´ll get burns!)

^^ this! why complain about bread price when buying the ingredients and making your own tasty bread is still cheap?
healthier as well, and you know what´s in it ! (no foreign womans hair to make the dough rise and nasty stuff like that)
