Me, too. I was checking my weather report and saw the warning had been added for us. We weren't in it last night. We're still in a maybe for any rain. Hoping for some mud balls, at least!LOL I'm glad I didn't get my tomato plants yet. The wind would fry them today.

Re: Heads up - Severe Weather Texas!
The curtain will open Monday for a dangerous, multi-day severe thunderstorm outbreak across the nation as a major storm system emerges from the Rockies.

Unfortunately, Sunday's severe storms were just a taste of what is to come this week.

Instead of cooler and drier air replacing Sunday's violent weather, the stage has become set for several widespread rounds of potentially damaging thunderstorms to erupt Monday afternoon, and continue pushing slowly eastward each day though midweek.............snip.........Cities that could be hit by dangerous and damaging weather conditions during Tuesday [also spanning the overnight hours] include Dallas/Fort Worth, Oklahoma City and Wichita, Kan.," stated AccuWeather.com Expert Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski when he warned of the danger last week.

Springfield and Joplin, Mo., and Tulsa, Okla., are among the other cities in harm's way.

[link to www.accuweather.com]

This is not good. They are talking about major metro areas being impacted, DFW, Oklahoma City, Wichita, Tulsa, and Joplin who is still trying to recover from the last deadly tornado.

I didn't get mine in either. Good thing.

This would be a good day for people to prepare for the bad weather that's coming.

I'm going to tie stuff down in the yard today. I don't a lawn chair or wind chimes blowing through a window.

Walda??? Who comes up with these names? Is that the female version of Waldo?

Michigan here....UGH. Flippin snowflakes are falling as I type. I am SOOOOOO ready for spring!! COME ON!

We had two days where I remembered the joy of opening the car door and having a sauna-like experience (super warm and lovely, allllmost to the point where you want to open the window to let it cool.). I miss that. those were two glorious days.

Snow hasn't arrived in CO, you can still see the Rockies & the sun is shining. People need to get ready now! The temp is going to drop and with the storms rolling across the Midwest you don't want to be stuck somewhere.

Though I would mention that an easy way to get to your local weather information is to type www.weather.gov/(and the name of your city)

For example: www. weather.gov/dallas

This is mostly a local on-line training for SKYWARN, the storm spotters, but some of it is national. I'm still trying to sort out the site for out-of -towner's, but I thought I'd post it, at least, for anyone in the Lubbock area. I haven't been able to find the link for the map to contact other NWS offices. Sorry, it's a new site.

[link to www.srh.noaa.gov]

I had hoped to have it sorted out before we needed it. I just heard about it the other day, so I haven't had time to dig around. If anyone does and figures it out for other cities/states/areas, I'd really appreciate it if you'd post it.

I remember the freak storm that hit Denver back in late March 2003. Don't forget that with this heavy wet spring snow you need to go out and shake your trees and bushes to try and avoid damage to them.

I think I've got it now. The link isn't enabled on the home page for other training schedules, but if you go to the training schedule page, find the text link - the map. Click on that. It will bring up a national map. Follow the prompts to find your local NWS site for more info.
