I know this may have nothing to do with it but I've seen a TON of clouds with the HAARP ripples the last three days - I wondered if some bad weather would come of it - (just my opinion) I'm going to watch all the radar, etc - I'll try to take some pictures to share in the next few days, too. CowgirlK (OP) User ID: 34838675 United States 04/07/2013 10:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here is another one for you. ALERT: Severe Weather Threat Ahead! Heads up! A widespread outbreak of severe weather is expected to impact the central and southern Plains through Wednesday of this week. In the desert southwest, a deep trough will form. To the east of this trough, southerly winds will allow warm, humid air near the surface to flow from the Gulf of Mexico northward to the affected region. As the trough moves eastward, we will have the cold, dry air as a part of the trough overtake the warm, humid air, thus providing a perfect scenario for severe thunderstorms, including tornadoes. Currently, we have a sharp dryline, a line separating dry air with moist air, in place over the Oklahoma panhandle. This dryline will slowly push eastward but will eventually be overtaken by the strong cold front as a result of the trough by early Wednesday. Following the severe weather on Monday and Tuesday, the result of the cold front will be more unseasonably cool temperatures, especially low temperatures, which will drop near or well-below the freezing mark for a great deal of the state by Friday morning. CowgirlK (OP) User ID: 34838675 United States 04/07/2013 11:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Interesting article With weather information just a tap away on smartphones, most people don't give much thought to the nation's forecasting enterprise. But, some meteorologists warn, at a time when the fabric of the National Weather Service is showing signs of fraying, it's dangerous to take forecasts for granted. In recent years, most notably with Hurricane Sandy when American forecast models initially indicated the storm would remain out to sea, computer models run by Europe have surpassed the accuracy of U.S. models.
