If South Korea strikes first doesn't that give China the green light to kick arse and defend NK?

By saying that, Obama is basically encouraging Kim Jong Un to kill South Koreans...

He's saying : do whatever North Korea... no big deal... I'll make sure South Korea doesn't do anything bad to you...

Bullshit. The US has been doing more to provoke the North into doing something stupid than South Korea has.

Only thing they said was "Overreaction by the South is a risk."

Yeah, they don't want the South to accidentally shoot first, because then WE wouldn't be able to attack the North.

If he had any intelligence whatsoever he'd be urging SK to surrender any planned military action against NK. The sanctions should be lifted and the whole thing will be over with. No potentially worldwide conflict, no one gets nuked, everyone can move on. There's no logical reason for there to be conflict on the Korean peninsula(or anywhere else for that matter). People need to stop living in this dream land that somehow the "allies" will always come out on top. If history has taught us anything it's that Empires fall, HARD.

Well looks like Kim certainly knew what he was doing when he piped up yelling and screaming he's going to nuke us all.

He knew no one wants this one going off.
He can shoot up ships, islands , and kidnap people. No one will bat an eye.

Plus god knows how many nukes he's got stockpiled by now and is willing to use them...

OP ,

as a rule of thumb , always believe the opposite of
what the nytimes reports :

nytimes = pravda

and besides , the truth here is that it is darth obama
who is escalating against nk .

nk is hysterically shitting in their pants because
they've never seen this sort of behaviour from the usa
because it is the prelude for the first strike
aerial attack which no one in the region has
wargamed because everyone has always assumed that
nk would make the opening move .

if you watched the nwo's sunday news shows , you
should already be able to clock that they are preparing
the american sheeple to accept the coming obama
roll up of nk .

yeah, i get that, but i wonder, or speculate, at the wide eyes of the NK civilians when they see what they don't got... or vice-verca, remember the re-unification of germany?

They've studied the re-unification of Germany and have said they are different people and cultures and that they would not want that type of re- unification. To them the idea of being absorbed by South Korea is abhorrent. They think very differently than us. What the North Korean regime wants is to reunite and rule South Korea in the same manner it rules North Korea.

That's so odd! Aren't they aware that Germany is much stronger today (relatively speaking in comparison to other EU countries) because they united? Or are they brainwashed so much that they know nothing of compromise? Well, that was probably a dumb question. :)

Hay buddy. :) I've seen a bunch of vids about NK. It's quite unnerving and spooky. As if they're stuck in a time warp! It seems so... empty and hollow.

So, its acceptable to fly drones over his own citizens, but South Koreans shouldn't retaliate against aggression from the North? This administration is beyond words.

NYT: Some of the public language from #ROK gov't suggests Seoul & Washington may not agree on how far any retaliation should go.

NYT quotes unnamed senior U.S. official: "Overreaction by South Korea is a real risk — and we’re working on that problem.”

Overreaction = striking back.

I'm sure Obama only want new BS sanctions on North Korea or some other meaningless shit.

SHUT THE FUCK UP OBAMA. South Korea is gonna retaliate the way the fuck they want.

America fucking invaded 2 countries over 3000 dead... so shut the fuck up about ``overreacting``...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36482247

If he had any intelligence whatsoever he'd be urging SK to surrender any planned military action against NK. The sanctions should be lifted and the whole thing will be over with. No potentially worldwide conflict, no one gets nuked, everyone can move on. There's no logical reason for there to be conflict on the Korean peninsula(or anywhere else for that matter). People need to stop living in this dream land that somehow the "allies" will always come out on top. If history has taught us anything it's that Empires fall, HARD.
 Quoting: MuslimAmerican

why don't they just let them unite and leave them the fuck alone.... like stories of german families that met 30 years later and shit all because of a political cement wall......

think of the cheap reboks you'll get.......
 Quoting: Citizenperth

That's a little absent minded don't ya think? Especially since this wouldn't even be an issue is the US wasn't steadily hurdling insults, threats and sanctions at NK that don't hurt the actual leaders but the people. If someone, another nation were causing American children to drop dead in the streets from starvation, wouldn't you be ready to fight? The only ones being oppressed here is NK. Always has been always will be, except of course to the bias r-tards that call themselves patriotic by wanting to invade, rape, murder and completely destroy an entire people simply because they didn't drop to their knees when the "nation of freedom" said so. What a crock of shit, I doubt even you believe this bullshit you claim.

rofl South Korea surrender to North Korea. Like they would ever do that.
Would you relinquish your freedom and way of life that easily?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37609369

I didn't say surrender to NK, I said SURRENDER MILITARY ACTION, perhaps if you hadn't rushed to reply to what you assumed I said instead of what I actually reading; but that seems to be the problem with a lot of people like you. Anyway by not starting a nuclear war, I don't see how that can be relinquishing freedom. We wouldn't even be in this situation if the Us/UN could actually mind their own business and stay out of the affairs of smaller nations, but no somehow the US has this fetish they like to misrepresent and call "moral code"; which is a joke in and of itself considering US foreign policy is about as immoral as it can get.

Because South Korea doesn't want to reunite . Certainly not under North Korea's terms. The North Korean doesn't want to give up power and join South Korea they want to take over.

Yes it is odd.
Those cultural differences. Keep in mind the cult mindset that rules there that likens their rulers to Gods. That's pounded into them day and night. From the moment they're born. Their leaders are not just leaders but akin to living Gods. God/Celebrity/Leader/Father all rolled into one.
They see their southern counterparts as traitors. Traitors to a belief system and a way of life and to Dear Leader of course. They want to reunite and bring them back to the faith so to speak, and save them. To them it must seem as if they live terribly sinful lives either led astray or are just wicked people. If a hostile invasion took place I would not want to be a South Korean. The South Koreans fear them for good reason.
