Anyone else worried about sending their kids to school?
I am not thrilled about the idea of a potential nuclear attack with my kids being away from me. Should I keep them home?hiding

Listen to your instincts. If you think you should keep them home, then do so. You never want to second guess to only end up later in regret.

Make sure to let the school know that your fear of a nuclear attack is your reason for wanting them at home instead of school.

Let us know how the conversation with CPS goes.

Re: Anyone else worried about sending their kids to school?
I am a bit concerned too about my daughter going to school today. School is 22 miles away from our home. But I am sure that the school will keep her and the other kids there until parents or relatives can come to get them. My daughter said the school may even move the students to a not too far location if they feel it safer for them....But if they do they darn well better leave notice at the school where they take the kids. Just imagine if there is an EMP and it will take me quite a while to travel 22 miles to get there.

I think for safety, if schools have some kind of notice if things really are gettin serious, they may come up with a minimum day or teacher holiday or something.

I think it would be wiser for schools to close for the time being until everyone knows for sure what the real status is. Even teachers and staff have families of their own, too, and I can bet it would be really tough having to also stay back at school while their own kids are elsewhere, too. If anything folks shoulf try and arrange a friend or family member to pick kids up if the parents are detained.

I begged my daughter to keep my grandkids home from school and daycare today and tomorrow...and asked her not to go to work. She got upset with me and said, "it's always something mom." :(

Re: Anyone else worried about sending their kids to school?
Not to scare you but everything changed after 9/11. There was a lot of good info on the web about this 10-12 years ago but most of it seems to have disappeared.

Kids are in the custody of the state in school buildings. They can be moved to undisclosed locations without parental consent and parents can be forcibly restrained from entering the school to remove them in emergency situations.

They have been conditioning people for years with lockdown drills, etc.

You hand your kids over to the government when you drop them off at school. I'm surprised more people don't mention that as a reason for home schooling.

pshawww...

Keep them home because school is designed to turn them into little consumer monsters that feed the Beast.

You can't protect them from a nuclear war, so don't even worry about that issue. No point.

Yep, and they made it illegal to NOT turn your kids over to the state. Hence, the state owns your kids. Period. Even when you home-school, you have to CONFORM to state rules.

Solution:

Midwife
100-acre Farm in Ecuador
Teach your kids how EARTH works, not the Banksters "world."

THAT is off-grid.

Re: Anyone else worried about sending their kids to school?
Well, I don't know about what is going on with being worried -- but you should keep your kids home to spend some quality time with them and so they can actually sit and read a book, or think, or play educational games or learn something. My most prized days as a child -- the times I really spent learning something or gobbling up a good book -- were always sick days or snow days.
