I am a bit concerned too about my daughter going to school today. School is 22 miles away from our home. But I am sure that the school will keep her and the other kids there until parents or relatives can come to get them. My daughter said the school may even move the students to a not too far location if they feel it safer for them....But if they do they darn well better leave notice at the school where they take the kids. Just imagine if there is an EMP and it will take me quite a while to travel 22 miles to get there.

I think for safety, if schools have some kind of notice if things really are gettin serious, they may come up with a minimum day or teacher holiday or something.
