We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan |

Our nation owes you more for your service and commitment than you're getting. Thankfully, God sees and knows. Trust Him and believe He will carry you no matter how discouraging your circumstances appear at this moment. Get quiet in His presence and let Him direct you--He will speak to your spirit and guide your steps. He really will. |

Maybe a move for your family would be a good thing. Canada can always use a good worker, and at this point, it would be much safer. Do you have any items that you could sell on ebay, just to get a little bit of money? You may be surprised what you can find around the house or in the garage that someone would want. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 31249282 United States 04/10/2013 09:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You have two small children. They think you're rich, and so you are. It is not money that makes a man wealthy. Your time of difficulty will pay dividends you cannot foresee now. Raise those two to know their father's struggle, and the grace and effort it took to overcome it. You have your salvation at hand. This too shall pass my friend. These words came after praying for you. God blessed you. |

(Psalm 46:1) A personal acquaintance of mine graduated last fall after spending 4 years in college. She struggled to find a job and was heading towards depression. Prayer wasn't a priority in her life, but eventually she turned to God and started to pray, continuously. Two weeks after, when we ALL prayed continuously for God to open a door of opportunity, He did. You have taken a step in the right direction by asking for prayer. Trust God, believe in His Son, as He is the only Mediator between you and our Heavenly Father. May the Holy Spirit guide your words and bring much comfort and peace to your soul. "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33 You remain in my prayers. :luv2: However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24 "This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42 Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, " says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:7 |

They specialize in helping discharging veterans get jobs in the civilian sector. They focus on the type of training you did while you were in, and then advertise you to a myriad of companies that are hiring former military members. It's definitely worth a shot for you :-) "Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10 Truth needs no validation because it is self-evident and undeniable. Therefore, anything that requires validation to be realized or justified as truth must contain at least some degree of falsehood. Light travels faster than sound. Anonymous Coward User ID: 28232375 United States 04/10/2013 09:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi OP, I was a recruiter for eight years. Here are a few tips. Most people get jobs through their network of friends and business associates. You could also try your church leaders and congregants. Let all your friends know that you are actively looking for work. Tell **everyone** you see that you are a veteran looking for work. Have copies of your resume with you always. Tell them what general categories you are willing to work in, i.e., "I'd be glad to work in security, general labor, warehouse, or clerical" and then mention any experience you have "seven years in logistics" or "three years in computer security analysis" or "six years in a construction battalion." You haven't told us your background so I'm just giving examples. Online resumes aren't going to get you very far these days as you are competing with millions. But you knkow that already. Hospitals are **always** hiring. They are a 24/7 operation and have relatively high turnover rates. It's like a small city and you don't need to be a medical professional to find work there. They need security personnel, food service workers, laundry, patient transport, clerical. When searching for work, remember that you will get a "no" answer many times before you get a "yes". This is a numbers game so try not to take it personally. For every no that you get, you are that much closer to the yes that will see you employed. Remember that Edison's experiment on the light bulb succeeded after 10,000 failures but he just didn't quit. Many city, county, and state governments are vet-friendly. Craigslist has lots of local opportunities. See this job search as a full time job. Start early in the morning and work on it all day. Do not sit in your house all day. Take the morning hours to research what's available locally, and then spend several hours going around hand delivering your resume and chatting up the locals. Personal contact is what will get you a job. Keep track of all the contacts you make on a spreadsheet with dates, names, phone numbers, comments, follow up dates. You could even take it to the next level by asking a local radio station to have you on to discuss the plight of returning veterans. Or make a flyer and put it on people's windshields, maybe a friend or your church could print the copies for you if you can't afford it. Please know that there are people out there that WANT to help you. You must go out and find them. |

ALL is a potent 3 letter word. To the OP.. Have you researched North Dakota? There are many people on here who genuinely care and are praying and pulling for you. Let the Peace of God envelope you.. spend some alone time with Him. Be refreshed and restored. Begin to see the possibilities.. with God ALL things are possible. I have a son in the AF.. I thank you for your service. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. I Corinthians 2:14 God doesn't choose favorites.. They choose HIM It is not the greatness of my faith that moves mountains but my faith in the greatness of God |

Email me a copy of your "Certified" DD-214, I'll get you some work and maybe some starter cash before pay day [email protected] I am 41 years old with two children, I waited for a long time to have children, that is why I have two young children now. My retirement pay at this moment is paying for Mortgage, Property Tax, Home Owners, Medical, Dental. My children need coverage, that is why I have medical and dental. What is killing me right now is the Utiities, and Personnal Property tax. I live in Norfolk VA, and I live in a simple home with my wife and two children and her mother. My wifes mother lost her job 4 years ago after working 15 years (New Management) and she lost her home and car.... We took her in as she should never be on the streets!!! She can't work now due to Heart Failure, (Old) and my wife is looking, but finding a job after being out of the Work Field for over 12 years is really tough. We are both Born again Christians and we live as God would want us to live. We teach our children the 10 Commandments, prayer and Thanking Jesus for everything. We have talked to alot of people about finding a job and all we hear is, " Sorry for your situation." No, help at all!!!!! I have an ASSOCIATES DEGREEE AND MY BA IS OPEN in Construction Technology. I am a Utilitiesman/Plumber/Hvac for over 15 years. Outstanding life record and credit. We are just a simple fun loving family who helps anyone in need. I wonder if this might be a Spiritual Attack on us??? We are very very close to God and right now there is a War in Heaven and time is short. I am not asking for any type of handouts, just a SIMPLE PRAYER? Jesus said keep asking and ye shall receive, and God said, No good thing will I withhold from you to those that love me. These are the promises we are living day by day on. Thank you all for your prayers and if I get a wonderful job or any job, I will be sure to inform you all. |
