It doesn't make sense that N. Korea would start a war. (USA Today)
[link to www.usatoday.com]

There have been no reports of evacuations at the capital, Pyongyang, or of a marked increase in air raid and evacuation drills that would be expected in a build up to war, Hardy said. And North Korean transport routes, train stations and road traffic have all been normal, showing none of the "cookie trail of logistics" that would point to war, Hardy said.

"No one's seen it. No one's mentioned it, so nobody's reported it," he said. "That's because there's not going to be a war. It would be suicidal, so it doesn't make sense for North Korea to start a war."

David Straub, associate director of Korean Studies at Stanford University, points out that many of the North's 1.2 million regular army troops are deployed not at the border but in farms to assist in spring planting, a regular occurrence this time of year.

The problem with it doesn't make sense is that it doesn't have to make sense.

It's finally on msnbc, I have been watching for a while and it is just now on the news.

Official take, all sides should act with restraint. China is rethinking it's position. The Chinese have not criticized the American military buildup which is not normal.

Other states that are looking to acquire nuclear weapons are watching closely to see how this works out for NK. thisis the guy on msnbc reporting.

If NK can thumb it's nose at the world and have no repercussions and feel unrestrained as it threatened thermonuclear war? The threat is not yet, a few days.

It didnt make sense that Japan would start a war against the US in 1941, but they did.

Nobody was expecting that to really happen either, before it really did.

How dumb are we? Thermo-nuclear weaponry is primitive compared to plasma weaponry available today. Wars can no longer be fought without utterly destroying the planet. Do you really believe the planet owners will allow that?

They want our attention focused on this silly stone-age war propaganda, and not something else.

North Korea is crying, this is a cry for help. They want to join the fun, but they feel stupid and uncool. They want to be like cool south korea, but they are afraid south korea will make fun of them.
