us catholics are lucky to have discerned that the bible is not very true book.
I think the writers have intentionally portrayed God as a liar so that it would cause dissent and confusion among the Christian faiths.

many many example that show God as a liar.

take Abraham for an example. God told Abraham to sacrifice his son , then changed his mind and then told Abraham that he would make his seed, the jewish nation, the greatest and most powerful nation in the world.
But this never happened, Israel was never a world power, but instead it was trampled upon by the romans and the descendants of Abraham were instead of being the leaders, they become the slaves of Rome.
then they were totally destroyed as a nation and even subjected to extermination killings, and holocaust.
So why did God lie?
