This is not a matter of freedom, it's a matter of modesty. Just because a large chunk of western women are complete insect and std infected whores that like to flaunt themselves like pieces of meat and are expected to do so by (a lot of) western men, doesn't mean all women are that way. Anyway this doesn't make much sense, even in some of the most strict predominately Muslim countries, men and women are allowed to swim together or see one another, it's just that the must wear modest clothing to do so. Probably another bigot trying to make a big deal out of something just because he thinks Muslims are some how involved. In the end, in a perfect world, if Canada really did start acting on a modesty code, it'd actually help the country especially in the area of teenage pregnancies, pregnancies outside of wedlock and so on. Sharia is the cure for an immoral society.

I wouldn't even allow a dentist or doctor to see a child of mine without my supervision, why would I let a swim coach and lifeguards who probably signed up for these positions to be near children and have a much higher probability of being pedophiles?

Do we know if the instructor is a female or male.
If I signed up for a womans only class and any of my teachers were male, I would feel betrayed.

Well I've life guarded and I'm not a pedo. Some people do it just for the love of the water or to be active and maybe yes to be around kids and help them learn but not in a creepy way. I agree with you though. Nobody will ever tell me I can't watch my kid. I wonder if he pulled the kid out of the class or just sat there behind the blinds.

Just goes to show how you can't put all girls in one category. I bet girls with a lot of brothers who are used to them and their brothers friends around all the time are less likely to see why it's important to other women to have some activities away from males but I'm guessing on that and trying to figure out how some of the women here can't understand.

If there is a group of women who don't want to have men around while swimming doesn't mean they think men are pedos or bad but they are men. It shouldn't be rocket-science to figure out why some groups of women would prefer to have a class ran the way this class is run.

Ive worked out at all women gyms before and it was mostly because I didnt want to hear dudes grunting while they worked out lol and because it was in close proximity to home.

Everyone is too fucking sensitive. People are going to look at you or not look at you, bathing suit or not, child or full grown female. The whole thing that irks me here is that the guy was told religious reasons. The people of those religions should learn how to swim privately or do so surrounded by people of the same religion.

Canada is a place that is proud of their multiculturalism. I love being able to see other traditions and what not. But im honestly sick of OUR traditions being thrown to the waist side to make people feel more comfortable. Suck it up or leave!

Good post and I was pissed too that they took out our national anthem from the schools, some kids today don't even know the words because of that.
