SyFy~ Defiance....Is it our story played out on film?

I read about this show a while ago.

Just sounds like another piss poor 'omgz we got invaded by aliens that look like but not totally human and now we gots to walk around dull sets and repeat that lame V remake all over again'.

SyFy (God, how I loathe that stupid name) is complete and utter shiite.

I like the idea that the show and mmo will share same story, and content and areas will open up when they do in the show.

Not really, we are just being "programmed" to accept their version of events they wish to happen. It is a "magickial incantation" of sorts. This is how they do mind control over the masses, kinda like the "war of the worlds" did in the 30's.

Wrong SyFy Show. Try Continuum.

Looks like Mad Max with aliens. Survivors and bandits fighting for alien tech ... implants / half breeds ... looks cool.

SyFy Continuum is better.

Actual both of these shows send chills up my spine. Continuum is a future run totally by corporations and people are basically just cattle - with justice delivered by just another layer of cattle. When those who want freedom are shown as blood thirsty terrorists who when they go back in time kill a couple of cops to steal their guns and car the minute they set foot in the past. Nothing like reinforcing the meme that freedom and the constitution equals terrorism.

With Defiance, we have humans and aliens trying to coexist in a world where humans were forced to terra form their own planet to meet the needs of the aliens so they pretty much have to "suck it up" and conform.

What gets me is in the opening credits earth is announced to "belong to everyone and no one". Just like now where those who are citizens of a country are being pushed to the side to bow and scrape to every minority who sets foot on their soil. Where those "aliens" who break the law are having so much handed to them on a silver platter and those who have earned their way and are thrown under the bus. It's off the backs of the working folks that are supporting the flotsam and jetsam. All while the we are being told to "suck it up" and deal with it.

You know, cause its a reality based channel. LOL

The terraforming on earth on defiance happened as an accident. The "aliens" were given brazil and weren't satisfied so there was a war. One of their ships exploded in orbit of the earth, and their trrraforming stuff. I think called ark cores went crazy on earth and kinda mixed with with what was already here. Theres a backstory to the whole thing. But there's an underlying message to the species that arrived if you catch it.
