nuclear waste barrels discovered in English Channel - update: and Greenpeace knew and kept silent for 13years
nice... not:

"Highly toxic contamination in 124 meters depth: A film crew of the ARD at the bottom of the English Channel discovered barrels of radioactive waste. Tens of thousands of nuclear waste containers were sunk there decades ago. Green politicians are now demanding their retrieval."

"28,500 containers of radioactive waste were dumped out of the UK and Belgium between 1950 and 1963 in the English Channel. Experts have assumed that the nuclear barrels have long rusted, the radioactivity was distributed in the sea, and the nuclear waste has become harmless. Shooting of a film crew of the SWR now show the opposite."

"British barrels contained by IAEA information 58 trillion becquerels , the Belgian 2.4 trillion becquerels of alpha, beta and gamma rays . The EU limit value for drinking water is 10 becquerels per liter."

don´t think so, as there´s no stream through the channel in that map (as "in from the atlantic and clearly blowing that sh.. out again to the north sea"

what´s funny in a weird way, that these experts believed everything was fine as they assumed the barrels to be rotten and the radiation to be diluted in the sea already. nice way to think ... not !
so finding those barrels somewhat intact is actually a good thing, now they can dumped somewhere else, calling it long term storage solution.
sorry for being cynical.

wtf !?

great find!

but: that makes it even more tragic !

Greenpeace knew for 13years and did not make it go public ?

(so that´s enough proof for me, greenpeace is corrupt and installed by tptb)

and leads to the next question: why are they selling this to us as "big news" if it was known for at least 13years?

Until the '90 we used every single River
in the EU for Waste Disposal,
i remember the days when our Rivers
was green and Blue, Multi-Colour Experience!

Imo the Radioactive Waste is a smaller Problem
more complicated are the Chemical Components!

Well, considering Greenpeace are nothing but a bunch of closet communists, i'm not surprised at all.
1 John 1–3._ 1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.

besides i´ll think of them more as placed opposition by tptb, it isn´t surprising, correct.
but this made public maybe shows "the other people out there who think greenpeace is the good guys", they bet on the wrong horse...

but doesn´t contribute anything at all to "we humans making ourselves obsolete". (which is not a bad thing at all, but those poor animals!)

And nuclear waste dumped 30 miles outside SF Golden Gate:

From 1946 to 1970, the sea around the Farallones was used as a nuclear dumping site for radioactive waste under the authority of the Atomic Energy Commission at a site known as the Farallon Island Nuclear Waste Dump. Most of the dumping took place before 1960, and all dumping of radioactive wastes by the United States was terminated in 1970. By then, 47,500 55 gallon steel drum containers had been dumped in the vicinity [link to en.wikipedia.org]

Five years ago it would have amazed me that a person could even have the nerve to throw radioactive waste into an ocean.

Five years later and with law school under my belt, I now realize there are a bunch of people who would gladly shove their grandmother over a cliff if the price was right.

Unfortunately yes, I agree. Some countries - Russia, US just have more room to make it harder to find.

People who authorize this need be jailed-forever, not fines for private companies and not changes of policy for government officials.
