Re: Is Cannabis use (any) a sin?
Gen 1:29

Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
 Quoting: Jasper

Can't say it any better than that, well there is the "It's not what goes into a man that defiles him, but what comes out of him."

Smoke them if you got them in full assurance that you are committing no sin before God...just man, who tries to suck the joy out of life at every opportunity they can.

A better question would be, why are there cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2 and most likely more) in the brains of humans? and mammals, birds, fish and reptiles?

So that I can accept me some cannabinoids......duh!

Duh - it was a rhetorical question!

Actually.....Endocannabinoids, sir. They're involved in deactivating the neuron if over stimulation is occurring. However, sometimes deactivation causes activation of certain neurons.

Also, Endocannabinoid receptors are mostly located in the regions of the hypothalamus and hippocampus. Associated with sensory input, memory, and feeding behavior.

I'm studying to be a nueropsychologist.

Arguments for?
Arguments against?

Extra points for using scripture.
I do believe it's time we got to the core of the issue.

neuro*

Fyi, endo means internal or naturally producing. Therefore, i'm saying we produce cannabinoids ourselves.
I have a theory that these are neurotransmitter levels are spiked during development of children. Cause when I was a kid and having fun, it felt a lot like being stoned.

22. I am the Snake that giveth Knowledge & Delight and bright glory, and stir the hearts of men with drunkenness. To worship me take wine and strange drugs, whereof I will tell my prophet & be drunk thereof! They shall not harm ye at all. It is a lie, this folly against self. The exposure of innocence is a lie. Be strong, o man! lust, enjoy all things of sense and rapture: fear not that any God shall deny thee for this. -Book of the Law, chapter two
I am a fan of pot. Smoked it for twenty years. Am also a Christian. Pot can be ok if it does not hurt anyone. Failed a drug test, lost my job. That hurt my family. Buying it on the "street" condones the criminal activities that go along with it. You can read the bible on your smartphone "high", but will soon find yourself looking at porn of something else that does not glorify God. The Book of the Law is a satanist bible.
In summary, if you grow it yourself, can smoke it without ANY chance of it affecting you, your family, or your livelihood, and do it in a manner that glorifies God, then yes it is ok to smoke it. In which case I would suggest not smoking it. Unless you worship the guy dressed in red.
FYI I do not smoke pot any longer.
Agape!
