Is Cannabis use (any) a sin?
Arguments for?
Arguments against?

Extra points for using scripture.
I do believe it's time we got to the core of the issue.

Can you provide proof that there will indeed be 'good parties' at hell?

I'm all for decriminalization of weed. I used it multiple times daily in college. I would love to be able to come home from work and take a couple hits to relax.

I think anything that you do to your body that is harmful is technically considered a sin. Something about your body being a temple, not sure the exact quote.

That being the case...eating junk food and getting a tattoo is a sin. Drinking soda and not exercising is a sin. Really the only thing that probably wouldn't be considered a sin under that logic is eating organic food and exercising.

Really makes things complicated when you look at it through that lens.

no, unless abused

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

Yep, and what did they do in the temple?
They burned incense. It represents the prayer of the saints.

So, the very scripture that it used to claim that 'smoking' is bad , is actually the best argument FOR 'smoking'.

Luke 16:19-31
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18296310

19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell[a] from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’

27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

Re: Is Cannabis use (any) a sin?
The Bible teaches us that “denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world” (Titus 2:12).

Beyond stewardship, as Christians, our bodies are not our own. We “have been bought with a price” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), not “with perishable things like silver or gold . . . but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ” (1 Peter 1:17-19). Having bought us with His own life, Christ has delighted to create in us something entirely new, something somewhat bizarre. By indwelling us with His Spirit, He has turned us into organic temples of sorts. So now, caring for our health is not just a matter of good stewardship. It is a matter of reverential piety. To pollute or harm our bodies is to desecrate the House of God (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). This is both wondrous and terrifying.

To begin with, Christians are under a universal mandate to respect and obey the laws of the land (Deuteronomy 17:2; Ecclesiastes 8:2-5; Matthew 22:21; 23:2-3; Romans 13:1-7; Titus 3:1; 1 Peter 2:13-17; 2 Peter 2:9-11). The ONLY instance in which we are allowed to disobey the laws of the land is when the laws violate any divine imperatives (Daniel 3 and 6; Acts 5:29). There are no other exceptions to this rule. Contrary to popular belief, simply disagreeing with a law does not constitute a license for breaking that law.

A few pieces of a story from a christian answers website. Hope it helps.

How does prayer boost you enjoyment of the world?

Rev.8
[3] And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
[4] And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

Only if it is used to harm someone. But I don't hear about many people beating others with a cannabis plant.

Because the way your question is, everyone uses it. Since it is a plant and it converts CO2 to Oxygen, and we all breath in air. So it you say to use cannabis is a sin then we are all going to hell for breathing.

If it feels like a sin in your heart, it probably is. I have a problem with addiction and used to smoke weed a lot. In my heart, I feel like it's a sin when I change my state of mind like this, especially when I binge and smoke all day. Here's some scripture that might help.

1 Peter 5:8-11

8 Be sober , be vigilant ; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about , seeking whom he may devour : 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while , make you perfect , stablish , strengthen , settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. All of your arguments are WEAK. You have villainized a plant that comprises TWO THIRDS of the ingredients of the Holy anointing oil. Next you will outlaw prayer, which is where this is leading. You use this LIE not only to imprison people unlawfully, but you also are starving the poor, denying the most nutritious plant on God's green earth.
