Interesting "logic" from some on here. Apparently because there are other horrible things happening in the world, you're not allowed to care about this one. Is it not obvious that all the horrors in the world blend into one giant horror? Pouring scorn on someone for daring to care about the things you deem to be "lesser" is a prime example of why we are fucked.
It's possible to care about all the bad. Caring about the torture of innocents iisnt wrong, whether it's humans or animals, and you can do both. It's all part of the same thing.
You might think signing a petition won't change anything, but is that any reason not to sign it? Or do you all believe that there's no point trying unless victory is certain? Because that is a really shitty attitude.

So maybe the holocaust should not have been reported outside Germany? Or the starving children in North Korea? Are you serious? Because this unprofessional and useless petition only mentions about one side of the story so it tends to instill hatred and over generalization. A professional petition or documentary should include information about how China ( [ link to www.capn-online.info] tackles animal abuse in rural area and that dog/cat eating habit is not prevalent/mainstream in China. This petition is very similar to Chinese creating a petition to ban gun ownership in USA because Americans seem to enjoy killing their own species with guns in house, school (massacre) and theater (after watching batman).
