Fukushima; Journal of Nuclear Science and Technology
Source term estimation of atmospheric release due to the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant accident by atmospheric and oceanic dispersion simulations
The source term of the atmospheric release of radionuclides from the FNPP1 has been refined using observed 134Cs in the seawater collected from the Pacific Ocean and four types of numerical models.

The results indicated that the release rates of 137Cs and 131I became larger than those previously estimated for most of the period. In addition, total amounts of 131I and 137Cs discharged into the atmosphere from 5 JST on March 12 to 0 JST on May 1 were estimated to be approximately 2.0 × 1017 and 1.3 × 1016 Bq, respectively.

A comparison of the statistics obtained using the new source term with those obtained with the initial source term showed that all statistic values were improved. This study demonstrated the effectiveness of using radionuclides observed in seawater for estimating the source term of atmospheric release in case of nuclear accidents occurring in coastal areas.

The new source term obtained in this study is a first guess value; therefore, these results contain uncertainty. Various types of models that include physical processes and parameters, resolutions, and regions in addition to environmental data are needed to determine the probable source term. Detailed source term estimation obtained using the coupled atmospheric and oceanic dispersion simulation remains a topic for future research.

Really...?

Plutonium found outside of containment in marine soil at Fukushima Daiichi

TEPCO has been forced to take drastic measures to deal with the continual contamination of the Pacific Ocean from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.  To quell the transfer of contaminated marine soil, the utility worked to cover the ocean floor in the port with concrete.  They later discovered that the fish life in the port was highly radioactive, which forced them to seal the entrance of the port to prevent as much fish from escaping as possible.

This week, TEPCO announced that it had detected Plutonium 238, Plutonium 239, and Plutonium 240 in the marine soil in the port at Fukushima Daiichi near the Unit 1 water intake canal.

The report showed that levels of Plutonium 238 had been measured at 0.21 becquerels per kilogram, where before levels had remained either Non-Detect, or under 0.06 becquerels per kilogram according to date from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. Prior to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, Plutonium 238 had not been detected off short of the nuclear power plant, and the densities of Plutonium 239 and Plutonium 240 were over double what they were before. Plutonium 239 and Plutonium 240 were found to be around 1.2 becquerels per kilogram, significantly greater than previous measurement values in the sea near Fukushima Daiichi (0.17-0.56 becquerels per kilogram).

F'Shima is a long running Nuclear Power=Plant

this is not a Evidence that all this Stuff is gone!

The same for UNIT 2., afaik only one Reactor (Nr. 1.)

partial molten, means that the Heat source must be
in the Reactor Pressure Vessel and not in the Torus!

The Japanese basically lied about what happened with the reactors for months. They said they were trying to prevent a meltdown, when in fact they knew within the first couple of days Reactors 1, 2, and 3 at Fukushima Daiichi had melted down, and they actually melted through the steel containment vessels.
