But to take away all medical records from psychiatrists is so against the bill of rights, I mean that's an idea taken from Hitler's Germany, to cleanse the race and the state from those inferior creatures or whatever they may call them "danger to the state", "terrorist". |

VET's alone make up a large portion. The thing that gets me though, some people (children before and now) were forced onto these meds by schools, parents and doctors whilst still too young to make an informed choice for themselves. It is so fucked up that they have pretty much set it up so that alot of people fall into this category. I have been telling people forever to get off all that shit, but nobody listens. maybe they will listen now. |

When I was in school if you acted up you went to the VP's office and received a firm *Swat* on your rear end...Mainly boys! Now if you act up, they put kids on Ritalin or some other Chemically induced drug... Once the 2nd Amendment goes, all others will follow suit in rapid succession. Then, the United States of America will officially be a corrupt Orwellian Authoritarian police-state. It is the duty of all Americans to protect this land from enemies both foreign AND DOMESTIC. Anyone enforcing this new unconstitutional law is a domestic enemy of the state and should be treated as such. The crime? Treason. The punishment? Death. |

The 'Tarasoff' case, in short, involved a man stating to his shrink he planned on killing his ex-girlfriend. When the man did kill his ex, the state (and the victims family in a civil suit) found the shrink liable for failing to inform the victim of her patient's intent to kill. It found the shrink had an obligation to inform tptb if a patient expresses an intent to kill or cause harm. As mentioned above, some states hold to 'Tarasoff' but other states threw it out (most recently Texas). I don't see how the NY State subpoenas referenced above won't be challenged. To make a blanket assertion that patients receiving medication to address emotional/mood issues have a propensity toward violence and as such should be denied their 2nd amendment rights is a big, big jump. Even the Fonz couldn't jump that shark. Don't think it can stick. |

They will lose lots of money over a move like this. I have my suspicions about the practice of phsyciatry in general, but this can only help our cause, right? Both in terms of pulling people out of their drug rendered haze to the reality of the day and having some big money and power backing the illegality of these subpoenas. |

Quoting: BxMac It's not even emotional or mood issues. This has been in the works for a while, and NY is the first state it will fly in. What do they prescribe to people who can't quit smoking? Welbutrin. Zoloft is given to women experiencing "severe hormonal imbalances" (from events that physiologically cause severe hormonal imbalances). Some SSRIs are being researched (and possibly used) as anti-virals. No guns for those people, who probably got the Rx from a regular ol' doctor and had absolutely nothing wrong mentally. Everyone is worth knowing. Everything is worth learning. You're never too good. You're never not good enough. |
