If you guys are right and silver is about to hit a bottom, than anybody who buys in might make some money.

You guys cant deny this is speculating though, and it carries risk.

Now im not suggesting for a minute that money is safe in the banks, especially not with the entire cyprus depositors issue.

But to suggest gold and silver are safe too is a misnomer. A country could back its monetary supply for example with oil bonds or something and that wont affect the gold and silver price directly.

This is a very complicated issues and im not sure, gold and silver are the safety everybody here thinks they are.

Yeah its probably better than nothing, and shit, it might even be better than US dollars, but that's not to say in the event of something major happening financially its going to pull you out of the shit, nobody knows.

Because they know panicked gold and silvertards will pay it.

If gold and silver was worth so much money why are the gold and silvertards caring about spot and premium and why is everybody selling it.

I'm familiar with the idea that JPM is short selling.

I have read a few books on G/S like Mike Maloneys, Jim Rickards Currency Wars etc.

I read these threads intently, because im interested and i see potential.

However i have also seen years of PM gurus preaching that the sky is falling only for the volatility in the markets to continue.

I dont think the dollar is close to dead because the sheep are a lot dumber than you realize, and i also dont think G/S are as safe as people think they are.

I read through some of the Boston threads, and yeah, I see what you are talking about.

On the other side of the coin, when the markets go into freefall, and if the crash is orchestrated, it will be fast, probably too fast for the sheep, and most people who already dont have a kind of gameplan at least in their head wont be able to prep for it.

Banks and the like will be locked down to prevent runs etc.

Wait for some entrepreneurial type to empty the Crimex of 1000 Oz bars, mint some rounds and make a healthy profit.

If your distiction is that U.S. Wholesale distributors are suspending distribution or sales without any reference to retailers; the point is lost on me. There are hundreds/thousands of retainers who sale gold and silver for a small profit over spot. As such, anyone who desires gold or silver may purchase a tractor-trailer load if they so desire; or on EBAY. Thus.........

Silver and gold both bouncing off of the bottom today, and that's a start, but I fear with contract expiry coming up at the end of the week we may have a few more down days ahead.

However it may be that the margin hikes and price crash has already driven the contracts that might have attempted delivery out of the market, so it could be a gradual up tick from here, depends on who tries to buy contracts expiring on Friday this week.

Regardless, my philosophy on buying Commodities, be they physical, or contracts, is to buy on the upswings...I'm not sure that a bounce off of a pretty hard bottom is a true market indicator or not, my advise (which is worth what it costs) is to let the Expiry pass and watch the markets for a few days...sideways or ticking up for three or four sessions after Expiry will indicate the market is rebounding...

Don't just watch the metals when you're playing in the metals, watch the dollar and oil...Dollar up today, oil is still sliding...

Oil, because it is true price discovery in a market where actual physical commodity can be delivered at the drop of a hat, is still the best economic indicator market in the Commodities...

I did buy a small quantity of koalas yesterday, but do not intend to consider loading up until after I see what happens by COB Friday.

Hey this is a good price level, we haven't been here in the silver market since 2010, and gold since 2011...Buying physical that you plan to hold for a long term investment...I agree, you might tick along and buy here and there...I just don't know if I would load up on a huge order at this precise moment...

And I love PM's...what's great about them is they're a commodity that you can physically hold long term and cash in when you need the money, great capital protection...absolutely safer than a bank!

I just fear there may be more yet to come in this saga we're watching unfold...

What about silver bullets for the vampires and werewolves?

Silver can easily be moulded into great tools and weapons ...... if the need arose.
