Just like cops they don't hire TSA agents for their IQ.

yes

So is discussing food a felony now?

Very few people put bombs in their food...I hate TSA and won't fly now because of them, but it's dumb to say "bomb" at an airport.
I never forgive and I never forget

I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked.

Re: TSA detains travelers for discussing sandwich
You just don't say the word bomb in an airport. You don't make any jokes or any sarcastic remarks about anything having to do with bombs, guns, or anything else.

Those are the rules. If you're too stupid to realize that, then you will be detained by the animals who work for the TSA gestapo.

No, but saying bomb in an airport will get you an interview with TSA goons. We've all known this since 2001.

Re: TSA detains travelers for discussing sandwich
yes , its dumb to say bomb in an airport . just dumb , not criminal . does anyone think that a REAL bomber - carrying a REAL bomb would be saying that word in the departure lounge ?? . rational thought says no . real bombers defeat the 'made for fear ' security every time (boston).

Re: TSA detains travelers for discussing sandwich
In other news, Emeril Lagasse was beaten to death in his own home kitchen as DHS attempted to apprehend him on suspicion he was involved in a bomb plot after repeatedly hearing him yell "BAM" while illegally spying on him.

Thankfully they found a lump of C4 under his bed and a sprinkling of crack on his body and believe they have wrapped up what must have been a drugs-for-terror scheme.

Re: TSA detains travelers for discussing sandwich
Using slang at an airport could get you in trouble with the TSA: after a 29-year-old airline passenger described his lunch as “the bomb” – thereby indicating the deliciousness of his sandwich – he was detained, questioned and missed his flight.

His lunch was “the bomb,” but the security process was not: Jason Michael Cruz was at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport last Thursday when the Transportation Security Administration came after him.

A TSA officer had overheard the young man talk to a friend and describe a deli sandwich he bought as “the wrong kind of bomb.” Cruz was referring to a 12-inch sandwich that a local Astoria deli calls “The Bomb” – a slang term that indicates both the excellence of the sandwich and the ‘explosively’ jam-packed ingredients between the bread. The sandwich was fully packed with cold cuts, cheese and toppings, but a nearby TSA agent didn’t know the context of the conversation between Cruz and his friend, Matthew Okumoto.
