Yeah, it says at the top of the C-Span picture to read more about the Immigration Modernization act of 2013. Get your shit straight OP before you make threads like this.

I knew it was only a matter of time!

They propose bill.....gets defeated

They propose another bill.....gets defeated

And they keep doing it until all the votes are bought and paid for until it passes.

Then they make the amendments they wanted in the first place to this bill.....and goodbye internet freedoms.

I expect now they will focus on registering each user and ip to a Drivers license name next!

CISPA hasn't passed the House yet. What it did pass was the procedural vote to allow debate on it.
I don't believe in putting a political label on myself, but if I had to, I'd be a liberal-libertarian. Want to honestly know what that means? Ask me sometime.

It won't be long before we get some "official" court ruling where text on the internet is not considered speech and therefore we're not allowed to express our opinions or information freely as granted by the first amendment. Just like that court ruling that recently passed in favor of the IRS that said there's no reasonable expectation of privacy when it comes to your e-mails. Never mind that opening a piece of physical mail that isn't yours is considered a federal offense. I feel freer by the day.

Isnt that what the user ID on the left does anyway? locks your IP provider and the dynamic IP the generate to your machine at home?

You know what this is. A bunch of monkey spankers sitting around with nothing to do so they make up laws and bullshit to justify their existence sitting around spanking the monkey. dont get me wrong, its keeping people working. But im pretty sure even a 4th grader could plot something like this.

Background of my avatar: [link to en.wikipedia.org]

The religion of submission cannot survive an open and honest discussion of its convoluted and foolish scriptures, its sexually perverted terrorist prophet, or its deceitful and demented god. When Western leaders become unified and resolute in their hostility to Islam's violent and ungodly beginnings, Muslims will flee the religion because they will be horrified by its endorsement of terrorism, mass murder, slave trading, plunder, kidnapping, and rape.

If Muslims & their apologists really want to cure "Islamophobia," here is an easy way. Focus their indignation on Muslims committing violent acts in the name of Islam, not on non-Muslims reporting on those acts.

Ecclesiastes 10:2 “The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.”

We are all born ignorant, but it takes a lot of work to keep looking the other way to remain stupid.

Islam is not a race - the racism rant is lame, used by the intellectually lazy to derail the debate.

Basically it means they can now monitor and invade your internet privacy!

Download a movie you didn't pay for....go to jail

Download a song and share it....Pay $50,000.00

Type something to your brother saying you hate Obama...get sent to Gitmo.

Post on GLP....Charged with conspiracy with known internet dissenters.

Just examples that are probably way overboard....but you get the jist.
 Quoting: ZEROeffect

Actually, that probably isn't as overboard as one might think.

While most of us won't feel the affects of this per say. But if someone becomes a pain in someone's ass, all that would need to be done is bring up their profile and stick them with some mediocre "crime".

What this will do is instill fear (its primary intent) into the average Joe or Jane about what they do on the Internet.

IDK what to think anymore, shit has gotten so weird and out of control.
