Is Amy Allen a fake? Amy Allen is the psycic from the show "The dead files"

I went to school with Amy. I rode the bus with her and we were friends, we still are to this day. She is the real deal and she struggled with accepting it.

As far as the show is concerned...??? Networks have a way with eroding the integrity of a show...but Amy is for real...and she's very talented.

There is a terrible problem these days with all of the paranormal shows...they are ending up like all the other reality show, scripted. This has, unfortunately, taken any credibility away from anyone who is seriously and scientifically researching life after death. Now it seems that any investigator is considered a con-man and that is awful.

Blame the networks, not the psychics.

Why is it when I'm watching old ghost shows from the earlier 2000's. Amy is a paranormal investigator... Who brings in her own mediums during her investigations? ( if she is suppose to be a medium herself)

I wouldn't be surprised that Amy was on film as "just a paranormal investigator"because of fear of judgement by viewers. there has always been an issue of people judging credibility of mediums, and before the popularity of paranormal shows really caught on like it has in more recent years, and before the long island medium show, the general population did not even believe in mediums as much as now. Also, honing in on, developing, and practicing skills is needed even for mediums. So between being more comfortable and confident in her ability as a medium and telling the world she's a medium, I don't doubt her ability simply because she was involved with paranormal investigating on another show but didn't go on record as being a medium. Anyone who doubts her abilities based on that fact alone mixed in with some personal opinions, is completely ignorant of the struggles that someone with these abilities goes through while growing up. Just the horror of the things that must have scared her as a little kid and the messed up stuff she would have seen that kids shouldn't see, along with the normal struggles of being accepted and liked by your peers while growing up, if you were different, kids made fun of you, now imagine being different because of dealing with abilities like that! I'm sure that Amy grew up struggling with issues of acceptance and fear of losing friends if she told them about this stuff. Any basic psychology knowledge is enough to debunk the theory that Amy isn't a medium based on being on tv as "just a paranormal investigator"...hell, for all you know, she was looking for scientific proof that would support that what she was experiencing as a medium was real and not a mental health issue of hallucinating or something like that, before gaining the confidence to stand up and proclaim to the world that she is a medium.

To the person who posted that they grew up with and know Amy, I'm fascinated by what Amy knows, her ability seems to be really strong, not only that, but I think she's doing a great service by helping people who are in these situations. I only recently started watching the show, it definitely scares me but it's too well done of a show for me to not watch it. Does Amy have a website?

I think some people can be sensitive to things most people can't perceive because they are equipped with heightened or fine tuned senses in the same way some people have exceptional eyesight or hearing, etc. Amy may very well be a medium, but that show is bunk. All reality shows are. In fact, most anything that is shown on TV is. Shows are just vehicles to string together commercials so the zombie masses can be programmed on what to buy and how to think. Without getting into the topic of whether I believe ghosts exist or not, the fact is, anyone who watches that show in earnest probably leans heavier to the side that paranormal activity is real, regardless of whether or not they started out that way. So now people are looking for ghosts instead of watching what the politicians are doing. Classic sleight of hand.

I have always wanted to meet a REAL DEAL PSYCHIC! It has always been my dream to be one even though for me, it would be impossible. I have had my share of sightings and things that I have seen and felt. I wonder what I could do just to hang out and meet Amy Allen. I would do anything to meet or just talk to her on the phone! I know she is busy, but it would truly make that dream come true. I believe she is the real deal and would love to just tslk to her. I wonder if she could come in contact with my grandma that died when I was 2.. I never really got a chance to know her. And would love to know how she is doing!! Since you are a close friend of hers, would you let her know I would like to meet her?

To the Einsteens (yes, that's how the insult is supposed to be spelled) who think they've "caught" Amy from her being presneted as a paranormal investigator in other shows: SHE SAYS CLEARLYS IN THE SHOW THEY SHE HERSELF IS A PHYSICAL MEDIUM. If you're going to call someone a fake, unless you want to be charged with slander, you'd better get your evidence in order, and DO YOUR RESEARCH! A half-assed job of watching 5 minutes of an hour long show doesn't count. I don't know if Amy is genuine or not. I do know that what bothers me more than phony psychics are the pnhony debunkers who get off on downing everyobody and everything with their faux superiority, even after it's glaringly apparent you don't know what you're talking about. Your personal opinion doesn't equal fact. Furthermore, you don't get to be superior just because you think you should be.

ok, so people are saying that its all real... but, why do they have all these dumb cuts to different people (if they are interviewing someone why do they cut to the person asking questions). and also people are asking who the cameraman is and yall say its her husband, then who is filming the cameraman (and why is he being filmed even though he does nothing of importance).... ugh.. this show is just really fake.

Amy does come across as sincere but the thing I like most about the show is that she does not reveal what she encountered until meeting with her ex cop partner and clients.
I suppose that she could be colluding with him on the info from his investigation but something about her seems to project honesty. Anyway its just a show for our entertainment but its the only paranormal one I watch because it seems more credible than the rest.

No. I don't think she's fake at all. Have you ever met a medium? I believe some things are maybe over exaggerated in the show, ya gotta add the drama factor, and of course there's convenience of editing. But to say she's a fake...absolutely not.

Amy and Matt, the guy who films her, are married. It took awhile before she opened up to him about her abilities. I still wonder why he or Steve never have any 'experiences'

I believe Amy Allan is the real deal. I've always questioned the validity of psychics until 2 years ago. I was in a department store when a woman approached me to tell me my Father sends his love and respects my wishes for him to remain unseen or heard but that he is with me. Several things about what she said left me in disbelief. For one I was 400 miles from home so this wasn't some local woman who could have known of my Fathers death. Secondly, and the most profound is that after my Dad passed I said "Daddy if you are around, please don't let me know, I don't want to see you or hear you. I Love You but I want to keep the memories I have of you while alive, not dead". I never told a single soul of this, yet this woman knew.
