Quoting: Reckless Driver I got thinking—yes, a fertilizer plant could explode-we know that fert. Can be used to make very powerful explosions—but think about it…wouldn’t the company take EXTREME precautions to prevent this?!?! Then I got thinking…why would someone want to destroy a fertilizer plant??? Who would be hurt the most?!?! Here is your answer my friends: [link to img12.imageshack.us] [link to img845.imageshack.us] They are hitting us where it hurts most and they know it! Cheers, NT Ah, organic fertilizer. Back in the day my Dad and I would regularly go to a local horse breeder and shovel a few buckets of manure to use on our lawn. It drove my mother nuts, not only did he use the one and only family car, but apparently I always managed to fall into some. We had the greenest grass on our block. Good times! Yes, companies that store chemicals must follow certain procedures in storage and handling (ran a chemical warehouse for 5 years) but often getting "up to code" can cost the company a lot of money it isn't necessarily willing to spend, so corners get cut, happens all the time. It wouldn't surprise me if improper or poor storage/handling had something to do with it. Of course admitting that would probably put the company under through fines and whatnot, so you'll probably never hear anyone admit to anything like that. Wouldn't it be great to heal the world, with only a song? |

DrKnow User ID: 34533941 Mexico 04/18/2013 03:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Actually this is a good one. A vast amount of fertilizer being destroyed will have a huge impact on FOOD PRODUCTION in the near future, causing a bad crop year in general. Current industrial factory farming RELIES on tons of fertilizer to meet production. With a sudden shortage, crop yields will be less across the board. This will cause the price of food in general to SKYROCKET, even more than it already is. Destroying the food supply is an outright act of WAR. Look up the "holodomor" to see your near future. |
