Are you sure it is not building 33, located on the other side of the street of 32 Vassar St.. So, maybe the address is 33 as well.

When I was there the Cambridge cops didn't even come on campus, it was so low key, the MIT Police handled everything. Not even sure they carried. We've come a long way since the days American cops carried .38 revolvers. MIT cops carry glocks now. No kidding? Jeebus. Who would have thought that we geeks would need protecting. I recommend the ruby laser!
